We are looking for an experienced Technical Accountant to join our supportive and proactive Group Finance Team. The Technical Accountant will ensure compliance with FRS, Charity SORP and other statutory/ regulatory requirements and provide robust accounting advice to internal stakeholders. Key duties will include:

• ensuring and updating new accounting standards
• collaborating with the Governance and Compliance team
• preparing and reviewing FRS and UKGAAP reporting and technical accounting papers
• advising stakeholders in relation to technical accounting issues
• liaising with auditors on technical accounting issues
• interpreting and implementing new FRS developments/ standards
• providing internal and ad-hoc training and advice on technical accounting
• supporting the Group Accounting and Reporting Manager
• liaison with the Governance and Compliance team

Role - Database Administrator

Term - Full-time Permanent Contract

Hours - Monday to Friday 0900 - 1730

HYBRID - Working from home with 1 day in Redhill Office

The Role -

Working as a Database Administrator you will be required to collate a variety of Excel data, and after error checking for accuracy, transferring details onto a master spreadsheet ready for processing before a deadline.

There are a number of further database duties which will require accurate processing in a timely manner, navigating a number of internal systems. You should enjoy problem solving as any discrepancies will need investigating and correcting.

This is a Hybrid working role with just one day each week in the Redhill office, with the remainder working remotely from home.

The Person -

The successful candidate should have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including intermediate Excel), have a keen eye for detail, and work in a accurate manner with the ability to spot mistakes.

The work-flow can be repetitive at times, so you will need to be able to remain focused and motivated, and enjoy procedural tasks and repetitive database duties.

Main Responsibilities

• Support the iTrent project team with the implementation of the core HR & Payroll system across the region
• Understand, assess and drive the future implementation of non core HR & Payroll modules and system functionality across the region to align to the wider business strategy people agenda
• Maintain a close working relationship with all key stakeholders to ensure the HR & Payroll system is supported and developed in accordance with strategic requirements
• Working with the business to analyse the impact of monthly upgrades (service packs or new releases) including module testing and process checking and managing these when the businesses are ready
• Advise and guide the businesses on system functionality, queries and access, primarily working with the senior leaders, super users, technology, and HR and payroll teams
• First line issue resolution before raising a case with MHR
• Working with the business to ensure timely and appropriate monthly upgrade installation
• User and security management - permissions and profiles, role changes for local system administrators
• Ongoing system improvement and development including impact analysis on each business

We are looking for an enthusiastic Software Engineering Principal/Manager with a passion for both technology and developing people. In this managerial role, you will be responsible for leading and growing multiple teams of engineers; working to define and implement a set of overarching standards and practices that brings consistency and reliability to how we build, test, and deploy our software.

You will also have the opportunity to influence the design of our healthcare solutions, from technology selection and application architecture through to CI/CD pipelines, Cloud infrastructure, Services, and Tooling that automates the delivery and management of business-critical customer applications.

You should have:

• Recent experience in leading and growing multi-discipline engineering teams; directly mentoring Senior and/or Lead Engineers.

• A passion and track record in improving quality and processes connected to software engineering e.g. code standards, test automation/TDD, Performance optimisation, OWASP and secure coding, CI/CD pipelines and tooling.

• A background in developing digital applications and services using any of the following languages and frameworks (and/or potentially others): Java, Ruby on Rails, Node.js, JavaScript/Typescript, HTML5/CSS3, React(Native), Angular.

• Previously worked on solutions that integrate with third-party systems/APIs and have also successfully deployed services and APIs to be consumed by other applications.

• Developed applications that integrate with Content Management, Commerce or CRM systems (Salesforce is part of our existing solutions and we are starting a migration to Adobe Experience Manager and CommerceTools). Experience in implementing headless solutions and MACH architectures would be an advantage.

• Experience with tools used for source control, builds, test automation, CI/CD, logging, monitoring and alerting e.g. Git/GitHub Actions, Docker, Jenkins, Azure DevOps or other Cloud-based services that streamline the build, test, deploy process.

• Knowledge of Cloud infrastructure, hosting and services e.g. IaaS, PaaS, Serverless computing and all-in-one cloud-based platforms. (We're currently hosting some of our applications on Azure but are not against exploring other options that improve our delivery)

• Worked within product teams and in close collaboration with other roles including Product Owners, Architects, Designers, QA and Delivery.
