Factory Technical Manager

£50,000 – 60,000 DOE + Excellent Benefits

My client, a successful and award winning FMCG food manufacturing company based near Dorchester is looking to recruit a Technical Manager / Quality Manager. The company supplies retailer, food service, manufacturing and export sectors and the experienced Technical Manager / Quality Manager will head up the site technical team reporting into the Group Head of Technical. This vacancy has arisen due to a retirement.

The main purpose of the role is to lead the site Quality Assurance function, ensuring full compliance with legal, customer, and accreditation requirements. Manage and continually improve the site’s Quality System, fostering a culture of continuous improvement in quality, safety, and operational efficiency

Technical Manager Main Duties and Responsibilities will include:

• Motivating and developing the team by being visible in the factory, leading by example and working closely with other managers to ensure technical integrity and best practice.
• To support and facilitate all third party and customer technical audits.
• Ensure site HACCP plans for all products are established, implemented, maintained, and verified.
• To complete and respond to customer technical queries.
• Alerting adverse trends and arranging effective action plans in a timely manner.
• Maintain and develop the site Quality Management System to meet evolving standards and regulations.
• Work closely with the NPD Manager / site team to ensure smooth transition of products from concept to launch.

The successful Technical manager must have:

• Hands-on Technical / Quality Management experience gained from a food or drink manufacturing background
• Experience in a customer facing role
• Understanding of Food legislation, Food Safety and microbiology
• Formal Food qualification
• A UK valid driving licence is also essential.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual to join a small team in maintaining of the electronic rostering and expenses systems throughout the Trust.

You will be required to work without direct supervision but with the support of the Rostering & ESR System Manager to ensure staff are paid accurately and on time.

The post holder will assist the Rostering & Expenses System Administrator in the Trust-wide management of e-Rostering and e-Expense solutions.

The post holder will assist the Directorate Management and Ward/Department teams in successfully supporting specific functionality of the e-Rostering system including roster creation, roster administration and roster analysis/ approval.

They will work closely with the Temporary Staffing Team supporting the Bank Staff module. The post holder will also provide support for the Expenses System.

The post is a permanent position, withinFinance Department at Vespasian House in Dorchester.

The Team in which the post sits is based in a large open plan office.

Due to monthly deadlines, we have busier periods during the month, we therefore offer Flexi working to all staff in the Team.

There is also the opportunity, once fully trained, to work from home for part of the working week if desired.

You will be required to prioritise own workload, considering the timetable in relation to payroll to ensure that issues related to pay are dealt with in a timely and effective way maintain and develop processes.

Provide cross cover with the ESR System Administrator to ensure service continuity during periods of staff absence.

Interpret policies and process for implementation on an organisation-wide basis.

Train individuals on an electronic system

You will have excellent communication skills with all levels of staff within a large organisation.

The ability to concentrate for long periods of time, often analysing complex data.

Working for the Dorset Travel sector, you will be responsible for providing home to school transport, SEN transport and also child and adult care transport solutions. It will involve contact with parents/carers/transport companies to ensure smooth transitions.

• Strong admin skills are required.

This position is for a reactive mobile cleaner who will be responsible for going out and completing cleans where the regular cleaner has called in sick or on holiday. You will receive your own van and fuel card as well as a company phone. The position covers a wide area across Yorkshire and The Humber and deals with our CO-OP Superdrug & Lloyds Contracts. You will be given your jobs at the beginning of your shift and be expected to be able to complete independently . You will need a full UK driving license cleaning experiance is desirable.

In your new role as a Cleaning Operative you will ensure equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order and meeting all agreed SLAs. Build your knowledge and understanding of the designated cleaning area, when the work needs to be carried out and all cleaning equipment and chemicals used on the premises while following Health and Safety requirements. You will need to undertake successfully all training required to deliver the cleaning role. You will be required to work within a team and can work under their own initiative. You will need to build positive and productive working relationships with all customers, delivery excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations.
