• Serves as the senior information technology specialist, providing technical direction, planning, and leadership for SPECIALTY AREA in support of the DoD Information Network-Army (DoDIN-A) Enterprise network/systems information systems.
• Provides expert network/systems administration, technical planning, analysis, development, implementation, integration, sustainment, securing and management of assigned IT systems to enable and secure Enterprise DODIN-A capabilities and services.

This position is part of the Pathways Internship Program and is located at the Central Office, regional office or an institution in the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP).

Evaluates the performance of network devices such as servers, workstations, and peripheral devices, and remote access systems. Coordinates the development and implementation of configuration management plans for complex LANs and WANs with supported elements to include headquarters staff elements, tenant activities, state government, regional operating activities and national agencies. Implements plans and procedures for remote installation of applications and upgrades using state of the art software distribution methods. Monitors distribution of applications and upgrades ensuring compliance with regulations and copyright laws.
