Working as an IT Specialist (Applications Software) in the Applications System Division, you will serve as a representative of the NIST Salesforce Development team and will be responsible for operations and maintenance and continual software development of CHIPS implementations on Salesforce and MuleSoft Platform as well as existing and future NIST Salesforce solutions.

Duties Include:

1. Directs and controls the overall planning, direction, and execution of resources related to Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology solutions.
2. Plans, executes, tracks, monitors, and evaluates AI projects funded from various budget sources.
3. Gathers, consolidates, and presents information describing IT technical needs for the acquisition and implementation of AI tools, software, and infrastructure.

Designs and implements leisure-time activities in a correctional institution which primarily include individual and team sports such as weight-lifting, track, basketball, softball, flag football, etc.

Plans the institution's sports program, to include intramural sports programs and tournaments, as well as additional activities made possible through available resources.

Develops, improvises, and adapts the various recreational activities to the wide range of participant interests and needs, and must meet the limitation of funds, facilities, equipment, and volunteer and other staff support available.

Schedules and publicizes tournaments and other sporting events, ensuring maximum effectiveness in attracting and motivating participants and in providing the widest possible range of activities in terms of interests and needs.

Major Duties:

The incumbent will perform a wide variety of high-level Senior Programmer/Software Architect/Software Developer duties connected with the initiation, management, coordination, development, systems integration, and execution of critical software application development activities. The incumbent assists and advises senior management with efforts to ensure adherence to OIT/SPM development processes, change and configuration management processes, development resource allocation, software tools selection and schedule commitments.

Independently conducts group guidance sessions of a varying nature. This counseling deals with institutional adjustment, U.S. Parole commission, release planning, and interpersonal communications, individual counseling sessions varying in methods and intensity relevant to the individual's problems. They may focus on helping the individual offender understand and live within the complex family circumstances and assist him in developing new adjustment techniques. The Case Manager helps the offender view problems objectively and to deal with them realistically. Routinely deals with community resources to secure information and develop release plans. Prepare special progress reports for such consideration as parole, transfer, restoration of forfeited good time, and makes appropriate recommendations. Corresponds with attorneys, judges, probation and parole officers and other professionals regarding the inmate's case.

Prepares diagnostic studies, responsible for collecting, interpreting and evaluating factual information reflecting developmental and circumstantial factors for the assigned caseload of inmates. Acts in a liaison capacity with other units and institutional employees on matters concerning inmate behavior. Serves as the primary liaison with the U.S. Parole Commission in reporting the inmate's program progress, readiness or lack of readiness for release, and resources in the community relevant to the desirability of his release. Actively develops program planning by presenting cases to the Unit Team and coordinating case management services with other correctional disciplines.
