Our esteemed client, a trusted partner of the UK Ministry of Defence, are seeking a proficient Software Engineer with expertise in C# and C++. The role entails integrating real products, models, and synthetic environments to offer visualisations, demonstrations, verification and validation, training capability and support.
As a Software Engineer, you will be a part of a crucial team that plays a pivotal role in developing weapon systems and system architectures. The WSSE team has developed a unique capability that supports developments across the full product life cycle.
What we're looking for:
- Proficient/Expert in C# / C++
- Microsoft Visual Studio, Eclipse,
- Capacity to function from high level/system view into technical detail.
- Outstanding verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
- Knowledge of using Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems
Non-essential
- Distributed simulation standards / Protocols (DIS, HLA, DDS) and web services development (JavaScript, Node JS or similar) Military Communications,
- Datalinks and Interfaces such as 1553/1760 and Ethernet TCP/IP
- Practical knowledge of System integration principles and processes
What you'll get to do as a Software Engineer C++:
This job involves supporting the development of advanced defence systems from the initial concept to in-service support and training. You'll use various simulation technologies like digital twins and emulators to create end-to-end representations of weapon systems in synthetic environments. You'll collaborate with project leads and simulation architects to develop simulation components using C#, C++, and integration simulations, adhering to industry standards. You'll be part of an agile development team of engineers from different disciplines, working together to create simulations and representations of actual equipment.
