Public Open Space Operative
Initial salary between £22368 and £23964 per annum

Full time - 37 hours on a 4 on 4 off shift rota
Based in the Kings Lynn area

We need you to deliver a full range of street cleansing services including, litter picking, clearing of fly tipping, dog waste bin collection as well as cover for public conveniences, street sweeping to ensure our public open spaces remain clean, tidy and welcoming. The role is practical and physically demanding, working outdoors in all weathers either individually or as part of a team.

You will be an ambassador for the Council with a confident manner in dealing with the public. You must be able to work to Health and Safety regulations and have a full driving licence, a C1 Licence and driver CPC would be an advance, but not essential for the role. You will need to cover weekends and bank holidays to suit the needs of the service for normal day to day operation or to assist with special events.

Car Park and Civil Enforcement Officers
Starting salary between £22368 and £24180 per annum

37 hours on a shift rota to include evenings, weekends and bank holidays
Starting base King’s Lynn and will cover across Norfolk.

If you are self-motivated, like to work to high standards and know the local area well with a full driving licence we have two opportunities for you to join our team.

We need you to patrol the car parks and on street parking, ensuring customers are correctly parked. With effective communication skills, you will assist members of the public and issue penalty notices where needed. You will also assist the wider team with the operations at special events, including marshalling duties, traffic management and courier duties as and when needed.

You will be able to complete a range of physical tasks working outdoors in all weathers, but full uniform and training will be provided, including an NVQ2 qualification in Civil Enforcement Operations and Conflict Resolution. Please note, this role is subject to screening to ensure compliance with the requirements of BS7858 and a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.

Join us for the season to help keep the Borough’s Open Spaces clean, tidy and attractive for the public. You must be able to work to a high standard carrying out street cleansing, ground maintenance and public convenience cleansing tasks. You will be able to work to set procedures and follow Health and Safety regulations.

You will be self-motivated with the ability to carry out a range of physical tasks and work outdoors in all weathers. You must be adaptable to working hours and duties, and hold a full driving licence. You will have experience in the use of cleansing products including COSHH awareness. Other duties include working with teams on special events as and when needed.
