Responsibilities
We’re looking for a meticulous and proactive Legal Compliance Officer to support compliance and legal matters across the company’s operations.
- Support senior management and stakeholders on legal and compliance issues by providing legal counsel and recommendations;
- Oversee and manage tasks and matters across the company’s operations, including intellectual property, governance, data protection, employment and litigation;
- Draft, review, and negotiate a diverse portfolio of contracts and legal documents, including employment agreements; • Engage in various special projects and assignments, incorporating legal and regulatory considerations;
- Advise on data protection issues, policies, and practices;
- Maintain current knowledge on regulatory compliance trends, emerging threats, and industry developments;
- Monitor and assess new legislative and regulatory actions, including guidelines, directives, and circulars issued by relevant regulatory bodies, ensuring organisation-wide compliance;
- Analyse and recommend enhancements to internal processes and compliance procedures, perform compliance audits and investigations;
- Coordinate with regulatory bodies on compliance matters, including the preparation and submission of necessary documentation and filings;
- Compile routine reports on compliance, risk management, outsourcing, litigation, and privacy, and conduct risk assessments and compliance testing;
- Implement and manage Environmental, Social and Governance frameworks, and prepare reports;
- Work closely with HQ on all legal and compliance matters for the region.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Law;
- At least 2 years of post-qualification work experience;
- Experience working with APAC markets;
- Deep understanding of regional and global data privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR;
- Experience in ESG would be an advantage;
- Business acumen and familiarity with the regional business landscape;
- Analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with different levels of employees.
