The position is part of 24-hour monitoring and response via the Corporate Security & Safety - Security Operations Center Hotline allowing the opportunity for employees, contractors, and members of the public to report threats to physical security, safety, data privacy, violations, or any other incident with potential impact to FNBO or its interests 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. More specifically, the Security Operations Center Operator: Operates electronic physical security systems; including Access Control/Biometric, IP Video, Physical Intrusion, Incident and Intelligence reporting platforms; providing Situational Awareness support, Security & Safety Incident Response and Crisis Management support; Travel Tracking, notifications, and escalations, to protect employees, facilities and assets worldwide.
About This Role:
- Proficiently navigate and operate physical security technology ranging from enterprise access control systems and alarm monitoring platforms to various business intelligence sources, open-source media, network video management applications and internet and internal collaborative tools.
- Operate and manage a multi-phone line console system and appropriately determine and assign the level of priority of the call to assist, transfer, document, or notify as appropriate.
- Monitor and operate a radio console and computer equipment.
- Receive and respond to a variety of emergency and non-emergency services and complaints.
- Ask questions to interpret, analyze and anticipate the caller’s situation as to resolve problems, provide information, dispatch emergency services, or refer callers to other agencies.
The Ideal Candidate for This Role:
Required:
- Ability to demonstrate detect, analyze and alert others regarding any condition impacting FNN assets, businesses, or personnel.
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness and monitor own work to ensure quality.
- Manage competing demands in a changing environment while working independently most of the time.
- Follow instructions, respond to management direction, and solicit feedback to improve performance.
- Maintain complete and accurate file and incident documentation.
- May perform specific physical security or analysis duties on individual monitored locations as directed.
- Experience using intelligence monitoring, physical security technologies, and reporting applications to manage incidents, monitoring assets, and communicating to a range of audiences utilizing various communication channels, including mass notification tools.
- Familiarity with security badging, CCTV, analytics, and scheduling technologies and processes.
- Within one year of hire compete the following FEMA courses:
- IS-100.C: Introduction to the Incident Command System
- IS-200.C: Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response
- IS-700.B: An Introduction to the National Incident Management System
- IS-800.D: National Response Framework, An Introduction
- IS-906: Workplace Security Awareness
- IS-914: Surveillance Awareness: What You Can Do
- IS-915: Protecting Critical Infrastructure Against Insider Threats
Desired:
- A.A.S. or bachelor’s degree in security management, Criminal Justice, or equivalent physical security operations experience.
- ASIS Physical Security Professional (PSP) Certification
- Bilingual or multilingual speaker with knowledge of pronunciation rules and natural language processing is a plus.
