Emergency Response Security Officer - Rolls-Royce - Derby

Mitie Security Ltd are recruiting Emergency Response Security Officers to work at our site based in Derby on the Rolls-Royce contract. This is a dual role of both emergency response & security duties. It is essential that applicants are are able to cover 12 hour shifts days and nights.

Hourly rate: £11.44 PH

Contracted Hours: 56 per week

Main duties

-Respond to automatic fire alarms

-Security incidents and medical response

-Provide emergency medical care until the arrival of external emergency services

-Carry out maintenance and testing of Fire Extinguishers where trained

-Carry out weekly checks on Automatic Fire Alarm Systems, Intruder Detection Systems, Panic Alarms, Refuge Alarms and Lift Alarms and record on appropriate report form.

-Carry out weekly sprinkler set and Sprinkler pump testing and record on insurance sprinkler test cards.

-Carry out monthly checks on site Interceptors, Fire Doors, Evacuation call points and record on appropriate report form.

-Carry out annual tests of fire hydrants and record on appropriate report form.

-Carry out daily vehicle checks ensuring that all equipment serviceable and is in good condition, report if any defects are found.

-Ensure that all equipment carried on emergency Vehicles is checked using vehicle inventory.

-Monitor the standards of compliance and behaviours by Security Personnel against protocols, identifying performance standards, both good and bad.

-Delivering results that meet and / or exceed the Key performance indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer through full responsibility and accountability, providing a service that aids in the retention of the contract.

Main Duties

Operations

-Access control Pass & Parking permit checks

-Monitoring CCURE for door alarms & CCTV

-Signing in visitors and contractors

-Signing in delivery vehicles.

-To be aware of and ensure compliance with all aspects of policies and relevant legal and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager and in accordance with UK Law and Guidance bodies.

-Fully and satisfactorily complete all of the tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions (AI's).

-Proactively refer to and review the published Assignment Instructions, thus familiarising oneself with any changes in order to suggest additional amendments that will improve or enhance the current level of service.

-To be compliant with Industry and Statutory Legislation (you are required to obtain a front-line licence in either Security Guarding or Door Supervision), which must be worn at all times whilst carrying out your duties. The Customer also requires a CCTV PSS SIA Licence. There are also additional courses that are contractually required.

-Comply with legal obligations and safety requirements of the role.

-Follow instructions and procedures appropriately without unnecessarily challenging authority.

-Work in a systematic, methodology and orderly way.

Training

-Fully and satisfactorily complete all required competency training.

-To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development as directed by the Security Account Manager.

-Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge and expertise through continual professional development.

-You are required to ensure you renew your licence 16 weeks before expiry.

Security and Health & Safety

-Look out for, and to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site.

-Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment in order to take the appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss or damage.

-Use common sense and initiative by immediately involving others if a situation appears to become threatening.

-To maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.

-Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry as soon as possible after any incident, which can then be used as part of the Incident Report process.

-Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.

-To ensure check calls are being carried out at the allocated time slot as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions (AI's).

-To call emergency services and Communication Centre to report all incidents.

We are currently recruiting for Security Officer's to join a well known client within the London area! The role is an exciting opportunity to join a corporate environment, where the high security standards need to be met at all times.

The role is to cover a 7 on, 3 off and 7 on, 4 off shift pattern. You will need to be flexible to work Monday - Sunday, covering day and night shifts.

The rate of pay for this role is £13.80 per hour.

The successful candidate for this position will already need to hold a Door Supervisor SIA license.

- Monitoring entry/exit of the building

Our Perfect Worker
Our perfect Security Officer will need to be aged 18 or over, a confident communicator who is a team player with the drive to provide a friendly and professional service at all times. Good IT knowledge is also key.

You will need to hold a current Door Supervisor SIA license and have over 1 year of experience in the security industry. Corporate security experience is desirable.

Based at Dalgrain Depot you will work with a range of internal and external partners to maximise community awareness of the Litter Strategy objectives to support and achieve behaviour change.

Your duties will include developing and delivering education materials for community use, and the co-ordination, delivery and management of communication and marketing materials to support waste minimisation and waste prevention initiatives within Council premises, businesses, educational establishments and with community groups across Falkirk. This will include social media accounts.

You should be able to work with limited supervision as part of a team and be mobile throughout the Council area.

You should have a minimum of 1 year’s relevant education or marketing experience, be an enthusiastic and confident communicator and have experience of gathering data and producing reports to document progress.

If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership.
