As a fixed term ICT Analyst (Security), you will work alongside our Technical Operations teams assisting with the configuration, implementation and support of a variety of digital systems including the Microsoft 365 and Azure stack, modern cloud-based applications and industry specific software underpinning council service delivery whilst ensuring our cyber security position is secure by design.

As a Prison Security Escort, you will work alongside the prison service, assisting our client who is responsible for the maintenance of the buildings. You will be a part of security team where you will escort and oversee contractors such as carpenters, plumbers and electricians, whilst they complete their maintenance work.

Duties of a Prison Security Escort Include (but not limited to)

• Checking the identification of the contractors
• Checking contractors have been briefed on security measures
• Booking in and out of the contractors
• Creating a tool list
• Escorting contractors through the prison to their place of work
• Overseeing contractors whilst they are working (Please note you will have to stay with the contractors at all times)
• Checking contractor tools are all accounted for prior to leaving work area
• Using the radio to request permission to move contractors within the prison

As the SSE Cyber Incident Response Analyst, you'll be responsible for managing Cyber Security incidents and threats to much of the UK's Critical National Energy Infrastructure. We also have increasing global investments which need to be protected to the same levels.

You'll actively be looking for vulnerabilities and identifying potential threats; both within the corporate environment and externally.

- Leading Cyber Security investigations to provide post-mortem analysis to illuminate issues and possible solutions.

- Development and optimisation of the security tooling to ensure effective discovery of suspicious activity.

- Leading security incident management and participating in problem and change management forums where required.

What do I need?

- Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex security solutions. Previous experience working with Operational Technologies would be advantageous.

- Expert knowledge of security frameworks, regulations, standards, and best practices, such as NIST, CAF, COBIT, ISO, NIS, GDPR, etc.

- Strong skills in security architecture, risk assessment, threat modelling and security testing.

- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and to translate business requirements into security solutions.

- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA, TOGAF, or equivalent is highly desirable.

Research in the Law School currently clusters around a number of research centres including those for Property, People and Community Centre; Private and Commercial Law (PCL); Maritime Law (IML); Law; International Law and Globalisation; Global Constitutionalism, Law and Technology, the Stefan Cross Centre for Women, Equality and Law and the Centre for Justice Studies. As the SSE Cyber Incident Response Analyst, youll be responsible for managing Cyber Security incidents and threats to much of the UKs Critical National Energy Infrastructure. We also have increasing global investments which need to be protected to the same levels.

You'll actively be looking for vulnerabilities and identifying potential threats; both within the corporate environment and externally.

- Leading Cyber Security investigations to provide post-mortem analysis to illuminate issues and possible solutions.

- Development and optimisation of the security tooling to ensure effective discovery of suspicious activity.

- Leading security incident management and participate in problem and change management forums where required.

- In conjunction with the inhouse Threat Intelligence team and external agencies, research and investigate attack techniques to develop detection analytics to defend against them.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
