Job Title: Legal Intern

Reports to:  Sr. Paralegal

Location:  Goleta, CA

The Role

Summer Interns are offered the opportunity to experience corporate Legal Team Focus Areas and expertise while collaborating with team members through interviews, involvement in meetings, training, and assisting as appropriate. Over the course of the Internship, Intern will rotate through eight (8) Legal Focus Areas – each one building on the last and carrying through to the next. During each rotation, Intern will have time for an interview with the Focus Area leader, join relevant meetings, and assist with chosen tasks. Tasks may carry over from week to week to allow Intern to maximize experience and support of each Focus Area.

Approximate Dates of this Internship are May/June 2024 through August 2024.

Intern must provide own housing in the Goleta, CA area or work remote.

Your Impact
The Intern will assist a team of lawyers, paralegals, and professional support staff in providing support for the Company’s domestic and international business including UGG®, HOKA®, TEVA®, SANUK® and KOOLABURRA BY UGG®. Support activities may include: proof reading, drafting, reviewing, redlining, researching, creating, or maintaining systems of organization, etc.

Required Education

Currently enrolled in an accredited U.S. law school, with completion of first year (1L) by the start of the internship.

• Candidate must be available to work part time hours (approximately 30 hours per week)

• Internship may be on-site or remote. If on-site, Intern must provide own housing for the duration of internship program​ in the Goleta, CA area and must have reliable transportation to/from work​.

$24 per hour

The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Position Overview

Our team of security experts helps Autodesk design build and maintain secure products. We are embedding security in the full spectrum of how we build our products from inception, design and development, testing to how we are running them in the cloud and how we are responding to any existing or latest threats to our products or the building blocks of our products and services. Our job is to be one step ahead of the bad guys and use expertise, technology and other resources to thwart their efforts to compromise our products and the environment in which they operate. Our team keeps a single-minded focus on protecting our customer’s data and their investment in our products by strengthening our applications, underlying services and network.

As a Security Engineer Intern on the Platform Services and Emerging Technologies (PSET) organization, you’ll drive projects, solve unique challenges, while diving deep into our Security processes. You’ll get placed into one of our multiple security teams that directly impact on the top-line security posture and the revenue for our company.

Responsibilities

• Managing your project end-to-end, including developing, testing, releasing, and monitoring security solutions       

• Partnering across many security teams including infrastructure, engineering, operations, incident response, and offensive security to develop scalable solutions

• Understanding the AWS security landscape & deploy controls to prevent, detect and respond to security threats

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelors or Masters degree seeking program with an expected graduation date in 2025

• Strong development skills in Python or equivalent language

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior software engineering experience from internships, hackathons, or other related projects

• Prior experience in Terraform and GraphQL is a plus

• Knowledge of CI/CD tools

• Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, ECS, EC2, S3, DynamoDB

• Strong knowledge of OSI layers and network protocols, technologies like firewalls, WAF, IDS/IPS., etc.

• Knowledge of Threat detection and SIEM solutions and log management/ collection platform like Splunk Cloud, Enterprise Security, Datadog

About the US Intern Program

The 2024 U.S. program runs for 12 weeks (May 20 – August 9 or June 17 – September 6). All internships are paid. As an intern, you will contribute to meaningful projects, be mentored by industry leaders, and participate in tech talks and other activities designed to support your personal and professional development. Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience, educational level, and geographic location, and can exceed this range.

For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting annualized intern base salary to be between:

• $47,840 and $95,680 (undergraduate students)
• $72,800 and $118,500 (Masters/MBA students)
• $118,560 and $162,240 (PhD students)
