Job Brief
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Fire & Security Technician to lead our technical help desk. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support and ensuring timely and effective resolution of technical issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire and security systems, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

The role requires an experienced, flexible and highly motivated individual who is capable of working under their own initiative and as part of a team.

This is a team-based role, but the ability to work confidently and effectively on your own initiative will be paramount. You must be well presented, a quick learner, and able to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.

Duties can change from time to time subject to client’s requirements and change to the marketplace.

Contractual Information
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent, Office Based
Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5pm with a 30minute unpaid break for lunch
Salary: £38,000 - £40,000
Sign-on Bonus: 10% of the annual salary (2.5% after successful completion of 3-month probation, further 5% after 6-months and remaining 2.5% after 1-year). Subject to qualifying terms.

You will receive 22 days of paid holiday plus all UK statutory Bank Holidays, which increases with time served. You will also be auto-enrolled onto the workplace pension scheme after successful completion on 3-month probation, which you can opt out of should you choose.

Responsibilities & Duties
• Develop and implement procedures for timely and effective resolution of technical issues.
• Monitor and analyse technical support metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve complex technical issues and ensure seamless customer experience.
• Provide technical support and expertise to customers and team members.
• Keep up-to-date with new technologies and industry standards.

Experience
The candidate should have 8 years solid fire and security background and should:

• Have proven work experience as a technical support supervisor or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of fire and security systems, installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Have comprehensive knowledge base of multiple manufacturers equipment.
• Be able to identify and rectify faults across all disciplines.

The objective of the position is to develop the research capabilities and knowledge of junior scholars by immersing them in a dynamic and supportive research environment where they can enhance their understanding of different areas of international law and policy.

The duties of the incumbent will involve:

• Assisting the AI and Technology Law Lead in research related to the programme’s ongoing projects in AI regulation, technology law, and related areas, including CIL’s role as an official observer in forums discussing the legal frameworks for AI and emerging technologies. This will involve examining the regulatory landscape for AI governance, ethical AI development, and the impact of AI on privacy, security, and human rights, while also exploring the intersections of AI, emerging technologies, and digital innovation, focusing on the development of legal frameworks to support responsible AI integration in global contexts.

LEAP Family Law is a team of experienced family lawyers, legal professionals, skilled developers, innovative LEAP designers, and client focused operational experts. With family law practice in mind, this newly formed team has embarked on a journey to enhance the core LEAP product and introduce new tools designed to address the unique challenges in family law.

What you'll do

As this team focus on building and improving more Family Law specific products and features, the Product Specialist will create global material to ensure that internal and external teams are up to date with these product releases and updates. You will work with developers and content teams to get the up-to-date information that you need, and you'll use your exceptional communication skills to deliver this in a variety of forms including documentation, training videos and webinars. You will see this through to client feedback ensuring client recommendations are communicated appropriately to developers. Your day to day will include:

• Creating and editing online knowledge articles for all LEAP Family Law products
• Producing Release Notes for product releases
• Training new and existing staff on using the software and demonstrate new features
• Producing videos for Marketing purposes and online learning platforms
• Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the products and the documentation requirements
• Translate highly technical language into a voice for business audiences
• Proactively seek new and innovate ways to produce and share content

You are proactive, hardworking and highly motivated to build your career in LegalTech. On top of that you'll need:

• At least 2 years of LEAP product knowledge.
• Advanced writing and communication skills, including editing and proof-reading
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to express complex technical ideas in a simplified way
• The ability to work across multiple product lines with high attention to detail
• To be a confident speaker with outstanding presentation and facilitation skills

I am currently working with a well-established legal organisation based in Lytham, who are looking to recruit an experienced Legal Assistant on a full-time, permanent basis. This business started over 15 years ago and has since grown and expanded and opened branches across the Lancashire region. Our client stands as a beacon of legal excellence and client-focused service. With a rich history of providing comprehensive legal solutions, this esteemed firm has established itself as a cornerstone of the community.Your new role

• Providing comprehensive secretarial assistance to a solicitor.
• Diary management, arranging appointments and meetings.
• Strong typing skills and ability to produce letters and legal documents, including court forms and statements.
• .Assist with maintenance of client files, ensuring they comply with legal standards.
• The ability to work both using your own initiative and working collaboratively as part of a team.
• Updating and maintaining the in-house database.

What you'll need to succeed

• Commercial property experience is desirable but not essential.
• Organised, resilient and hard-working.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Packages and in-house systems.
• Previous experience with administration is essential.
