Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol the holiday park to always ensure safety and security to our guests, owners and team.
- Assist in the management of park access, ensuring only authorised individuals and guests or owners are permitted on site.
- Respond promptly and professionally to any security-related incidents, such as medical emergencies, alarms, or guest concerns.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of incidents, reporting to management as required.
- Provide friendly and helpful guest experiences, assisting with information on guest queries.
- Collaborate with other team members and park functions to create a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.

Requirements
- Must hold a valid SIA license.
- Previous experience in a security role, preferably within the hospitality or leisure industry, is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
- High attention to detail and excellent observational skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays.

Job Details

• Providing appropriate guarding security services to the business, including assistance, guidance, monitoring and advice on the physical security environment and fire and life safety systems
  
• Maintaining working knowledge of all fire and security related policies and procedures, including CCTV Code of Practice
  
• Providing customer focused Reception services, including issue of appropriate levels of access, ensuring visitor comfort and secure store of luggage
  
• Acting as the primary building incident controller when needed, taking active leadership responsibility for control of the incident team and liaison with the emergency services and Senior Management Team as necessary
  
• Maintaining vigilance of colleague car parking (including surrounding residential areas), actively managing resolution of issues or escalating where required and regularly patrolling and maintaining oversight of the loading bay and external areas of the building
  
• Patrolling the premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, monitoring the building infrastructure failures and ensuring the building always remains secure
  

Skills we would love you to have

• Experience in a similar role, with a working knowledge of fire, security, risk and compliance, financial and health and safety policies, procedures and legislation
  
• Experience of operating physical security, fire and life safety systems

Purpose of the Contractor Escort role:

As part of the security team you will be responsible for assisting in the safety and security of the establishment where your duties will include escorting building contractors. You will ensure the safety and security of the visitors, staff and prisoners within a Prison establishment, while persons from outside of NOMS are on site. You will also ensure that no unauthorised persons or items enter the establishment.

Experience:

No formal qualifications or previous experience is required for this role.
The nature of the role requires candidates to be security conscious and able to challenge potential compromises and risks, you will also need to be reliable and consistent, level headed and have exceptional interpersonal skills. This role calls for a flexible approach to working times, good communication skills and the ability to provide a first class service to the public.

You will be required to travel between sites and clean to a high standard. The post may involve the handling of money including cashing up, cleaning, liaising with management and carrying out stock takes.

Our cleaners are required to work a shift rotation, which includes, at times late finishing, starting early and working weekends and bank holidays. The sites are open every day except Christmas Day.

Overview of the position:

As the sole agency supplier to the HM Prison Service for the provision of maintenance trades & support operatives, this is a long-term temporary contract, with a starting rate of £13.10 including holiday, £11.44 excluding holiday pay.

The Contractor Escort role is in a unique working environment with a strong sense of team working. Always in demand, you could benefit from long-term contracts and there is also potential, once trained, to work in other prisons both locally and nationally.

Purpose of the Contractor Escort role:

As part of the security team you will be responsible for assisting in the safety and security of the establishment where your duties will include escorting building contractors. You will ensure the safety and security of the visitors, staff and prisoners within a Prison establishment, while persons from outside of NOMS are on site. You will also ensure that no unauthorised persons or items enter the establishment.

Experience:

No formal qualifications or previous experience is required for this role.
The nature of the role requires candidates to be security conscious and able to challenge potential compromises and risks, you will also need to be reliable and consistent, level headed and have exceptional interpersonal skills. Successful applicants will have a background in customer services or security, and will be assessed based on the following competencies: Acting with integrity, respecting others, Building relationships and team working, communicating effectively, developing self and others.

Full training is provided by the establishment/ department. Training time will be paid at the standard hourly rate.

Security Clearance required:

All applicants will be subject to the HM Prison Service Security Clearance procedure which can take up to 4 weeks, this can include a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check.
