Job Title: Security Officer, East London Development, up to £ 29,000
Line manager: Estates Director / Residents Manager
Key Responsibilities:
As a Security Officer, your main responsibility is to ensure the safety and security of the development, its amenities, and open spaces, while delivering top-quality service in line with management contracts, leases, service agreements, and other requirements.
Security Duties:
To support the existing security and safety routines of this development, ensuring an efficient and timely completion of security routines for the development, in terms of Control Room duties, Patrol duties and Loading Bay/Basement Access.
Control Room Duties:
* Take responsibility for the control room's daily security tasks, which includes monitoring CCTV, especially high-traffic areas and access points.
* Managing resident and visitor access.
* Sounding alarms or contacting authorities in emergencies.
* Preventing losses and damage.
* Directing traffic and controlling the movement of people.
* Completing reports and recording surveillance activities.
* Following all security protocols, tasks, and standard operating procedures (SOP's).
* Responding to alarms.
* Managing, logging, and processing residential parcels and monitoring for suspicious packages as per the SOP.
* Maintaining communication with other security personnel to ensure the development is secure.
Patrol Duties:
Oversee the security of the development by:
- Patrolling designated routes and monitoring surveillance equipment.
- Inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points to ensure safety.
- Investigating any signs of intrusion or risk.
- Checking all entry points to confirm they are secure.
- Stopping suspicious activities and checking identification as needed.
Loading Bay / Basement Access:
* Manage vehicle booking processes and loading bay usage.
* Direct drivers politely and ensure they follow unloading time limits.
* Assist with move-ins and move-outs, maintaining a courteous and informative approach.
* Control vehicle and personnel entry, recording their movements as required by the relevant SOP.
