My client is a main contractor on, government and commercial schemes from as little as £ 1 million to over a £ 1 billion in value. these range from schools to hospitals to commercial ad mixed use schemes across the UK with an opening in the Dorset area
We are now looking for a site-based QS to work on a new build £ 10 million education project in Dorset on site in the next few weeks until late 2025
The role is initially site based (with flexible working) dealing with the initial cost plan though to subcontract appraisal and early-stage procurement of subcontract packages in this first phase of the £ 10 million new build education project in Dorset.
Reporting to the MQS for the project and working with the project team you will be well versed in both taking jobs from the early stages through to on site and also live commercial management of subcontractors at delivery stage.
You will pride yourself on being able to deliver and be able to work with the clients brief to ensure the procurement schedule is on track.
You will throughout the next few months assist the commercial team to take the project to the next stage and commencing the initial construction works on site where thereafter you manage the various subcontractors throughout the programme to final account .
Ideally candidates will be degree qualified and have experience with a main contractor in the UK previously.
Character wise you will be able to display a hands-on approach to commercial management of schemes on a design and build basis in the past and be computer literate to back up your and technical construction knowledge.
This role will suit someone who is hands on and is locally based to Dorset with the ambition and drive to be part of this ongoing work stream of projects across the south of England .
