M&E Sales and Planning Executive -art'otel Battersea

We are recruiting for our first art'otel in London! A premium lifestyle hotel situated in the heart of the new, iconic Battersea Power Station development. Perched on the Electric Boulevard, the 164 keys art'otel London Battersea power station sits in the heart of this newly energised neighbourhood, offering restaurants, bars, shops and galleries, amidst the eye-catching architecture that surrounds the historical Battersea Power Station.

Your main role is to respond to and convert enquiries through the various online portals, emails and telephone calls to achieve Meetings & Events rooms budgets for the hotels.

Tasks as an Meetings & Events Sales and Planning Executive include, but are not limited to:

• Responding to all M&E enquiries (small, medium and large scale) in timely manner and converting them into confirmed bookings.
• Generating quotes based on guidelines provided and sends it out to potential clients.
• Using negotiating skills, strong judgement, and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts as well as upsell where possible to ensure M&E targets and budgets are achieved.
• Conducting client show arounds and menu tastings when applicable.
• Issuing contracts and deposit requests for confirmed business.
• Maintaining strong client relationships to ensure smooth event planning process for the client and return business. Introduces fresh new ideas to drive service standards accommodate client's needs.
• Working closely with M&E operations and kitchen teams to ensure smooth event delivery.
• Producing clear and accurate BEOs, attends weekly BEO meetings.
• Handing over to the team in charge on the day. Staying for the first couple of hours on the day of the event might be required for large scale events.
• Supporting M&E Sales and Planning Manager with reporting and Ad Hoc projects when required.
• Flexible and adaptable to everchanging new opening environment.

Human Resources Business Partner

Following an internal promotion, we are now recruiting for a Human Resources Business Partner for our cluster of premium lifestyle hotels; art'otel London Battersea Power Station and Holmes Hotel!

The Human Resources Business Partner balances a commercial and technical approach while working within the Hotels' leadership teams as a strategic partner toward the achievement of the business' overall objectives and vision. As our Human Resources Business Partner, you will support to ensure managers and team members receive expert front-line support and guidance and to ensure that action plans and objectives are delivered to plan. The role works in close partnership with the Regional HR team to co-develop, implement and review corporate People Development & HR strategic action plans, policies, procedures, systems and initiatives.

As our Human Resources Business Partner for art'otel London Battersea Power Station & Holmes Hotel you will need to split your time between the properties and be confident in managing two different brands.

What you will be up to as a Human Resources Business Partner:

• Support line managers to drive engagement throughout their areas of the business to develop performance and retention, co-developing targeted actions plans, through developing managers' leadership abilities in line with identified needs and PPHE Hotel Group competencies
• Support advanced and escalated ER casework, supporting HR Officers on cases where necessary, advising managers of appropriate actions and subsequent outcomes in line with the company resolution policy
• Coach and support senior leaders and HODs on the labour market, available talent, and the best approach in order to attract, recruit and retain new team members
• Lead the property Talent Management activities to ensure maximised performance, robust succession plans and a pipeline of ready Talent is available and mapped to future movement and growth
• Ensure identified Talent is proactively and appropriately developed in line with individual and business needs, and ensure all key roles have Performance Development Plans in place
• Provides people-related MI and analysis to the business, making sound recommendations as necessary
• Ensure exit interviews are being completed, as per company guidelines, with appropriate analysis completed and findings shared as relevant. Personally completes all senior leadership exit interviews.
• Conduct periodic reviews of structures and roles to ensure efficiency and fit-for-purpose are achieved
• Develop and operate within a budget for the assigned areas of the business
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability when supporting line manager and team member's needs and the changing demand and priorities of the business
• Ensure that all activities are in compliance with national laws and regulations, management decisions and PPHE Hotel Group operating policies, processes and procedures
