Electrical Project Engineer

I am currently on the lookout for an Electrical Project Engineer to join a Tier 1 Contract near the Poole area. This will be working within a strong M&E Team on a £50million package of works. Works will contribute to a new extension and upgrade works to an existing water facility.
Role: Electrical Project Engineer
Start Date: January 2024
Location: Poole, Dorset
Rate: £400 - £450 per day, dependent on experience

Duties of an Electrical Project Engineer:
- Comment, review and evaluate subcontractor tender returns
- Be the main point of contact for managing the interfaces and integration of the Electrical and ICA design
- Ensure all subcontractors designs of engineering meet the required standards
- Work closely with the construction team to ensure you are able to develop practical and safe solutions through the whole design stage, into construction and beyond
- Technical and commercial negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors
- Follow through subcontractor packages to site delivery and potentially installs
- Be able to specify equipment requirements and standards
- Ensure that HSE, company, legislative, regulatory and end client standards are maintained throughout the whole delivery programme
- Maintain and manage relationships both internal and external
- Work closely alongside the project team to review and produce programmes and project plans
Requirements of an Electrical Project Engineer:
- Experience and knowledge working with the Water Sector within a similar role in the water treatment industry
- Knowledge of pumping systems, chemical dosings, GAC and other clean water processes
- Knowledge of 3D modelling for Subcontractor engagement, take off, review - however not for model creation or design
- Experience working with 11kV distribution systems
- Knowledge of Reg30/ WRAS preferable
