Job Purpose:
The Business Analyst will investigate and analyse the force's business activities, recommend changes to enhance efficiency, and coordinate the implementation of those changes. j) Undertake all responsibilities relating to information management, data quality, information sharing, intelligence and information security in accordance with the ACPO Guidance on the Management of Police Information in order to achieve compliance with the Statutory Code of Practice.
k) Be accountable for all Health and Safety issues, to include risk assessment, pertaining to the postholder’s area of responsibility in order to fulfil the statutory obligations of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

Analyse, interpret and adopt external guidance and policy, highlighting potential risk and exposure of the organisation and developing appropriate mitigations.




Research Environment & Strategy

Lead regular dialogue and liaison with department heads, global hubs, faculty members and international partners to understand the research needs of the academic community
Develop and implement effective research horizon scanning, intelligence gathering and a strategic funder engagement approach.




External Engagement:

Support the Head of Research Strategy & Knowledge Exchange and senior academics to represent LSTM at relevant national and international forums related to research and knowledge exchange excellence, sharing best practices, and establishing collaborative networks.
Contribute and quality assure information/data returns for relevant Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA), including developing local processes to gather appropriate information.



The successful candidate will bring:

There is travel within the North West and Midlands with the role so you should be prepared to travel 1 or 2 days per week.

Your new company
Our client is a medium sized and rapidly growing group of manufacturing businesses. Reporting to an inspiring FD who can help develop the incumbent, this role will provide Financial Analysis and insight into profitability at a subsidiary level. The company offers hybrid working and a bonus scheme. You will partner divisional MD's and operations teams and will analyse bill of materials and volumes to help the teams improve EBITDA.

Your new role
In the role of Finance Business Partner you will support the finance function by providing insightful analysis on financial performance and work closely with operational partners to help them make better decisions.
Tasks will include:
Analysis of BOM's and Monthly Management accounts to drive EBITDA improvement.
Provision of weekly KPI's for board report
Analysis of financial and commercial data for insight.
Partnering Operational leaders to help them understand financial performance.
Business case presentation and Scenario planning.
Provide support to commercial team.
Support development and use of the ERP system.

What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for a part or fully qualified accountant with a passion for business partnering and experience of Manufacturing.
You should have strong analysis and interpersonal skills.
Exposure to forecasting and budgeting is essential.
Strong systems skills including intermediate to advanced Excel.
