We have a fantastic one-year fixed term contract or secondment opportunity for a Senior HR Advisor- Project & Policy Delivery working in our Policy and Projects Team.
We are looking for a talented HR policy specialist or generalist HR professional with policy experience to join us in supporting our workforce so they in turn can provide the best quality services for our residents.

What will you be doing?In this busy and varied role, you will consult with key stakeholders and our recognised trade unions in implementing policy development for the Council and our HR Service customers, ensuring policies meet the needs of our workforce and are legally compliant.
You will have the opportunity to support the delivery of a range of projects aligned to the Council’s People Strategy building a capable, high performing and resilient workforce and creating an inclusive environment and flourishing culture.
You will advise and provide data on the range of terms and conditions currently in place across the council, collaborating with our Business Systems and Payroll teams to ensure our systems reflect policy, contractual and statutory requirements.
About youYou will be educated to A level standard or equivalent and CIPD level 7 qualified (or with equivalent experience).
You will have experience of working in a busy office environment and need to have a professionally curious and adaptable approach to working. You will have a desire to continually improve how we do things and a keen interest in people development.
You will need good organisational and problem-solving skills and be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of current employment law.
Microsoft Office skills, in particular intermediate level Excel with confidence in formulae, vlookups and pivot tables, are central to the role. Experience of Power Automate is not essential but desirable.
