What You’ll Get to Do:

• Manage overall case support for the Special Matters Unit including case assignments, case timelines, task lists, case priorities and case documentation.
• Maintain reporting requirements to ensure accountability of team members and visibility into legal operations.
• Consult and coordinate with case attorneys on strategies, requirements and support needs to ensure qualified staff coverage.
• Conduct regular meetings with lead attorneys and report status updates, concerns and issues to Deputy Division Director, Unit Chief and the COR.
• Recruit, hire and train support staff on roles and responsibilities, policies and procedures, and litigation software including Relativity, CaseMap, Sanction, Trial Director and others.          
• Prepare presentations, lead team meetings and build a high performing team.
• Work with Deputy Division Director and other managers to standardize case procedures and implement continual improvement initiatives.
• Develop and maintain quality assurance for data management, processing and production protocol and best practices in proactive case management.
• Coordinate with, and assist, Litigation Support to ensure priority processing and production requests are completed accurately and successfully.
• Manage and review staff utilization including productivity and overtime.
• Assess performance, conduct employee evaluations and provide timely feedback.
• Resolve personnel or disciplinary issues and enforce compliance with company/government policies and labor laws.
• Review and approve timecards, travel authorizations, expense reports and department invoices.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

• DOJ MBI must be obtainable (US Citizenship required)
• Undergraduate degree with 3.00 GPA required.
• At least six years of progressively more responsible management experience in major litigation projects, including significant attorney and client interactions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; highly organized with the ability to deliver consistent high-quality work product in a deadline driven environment under extreme pressure.
• Ability to work overtime and travel as needed, including weekends and holidays, often with little to no advance notice.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat and document/discovery management applications.
• Demonstrated ability to manage numerous complex and time-critical litigation support activities simultaneously, including technical/data processing support activities.
• Strong technical background as demonstrated through user level knowledge of e-discovery tools and data management.
• Must be able to anticipate litigation support needs and develop and execute detailed plans for addressing same.
• Knowledge of the Government’s office and network environment, including but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheets, imaging, e-discovery tools and hardware systems.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• Law degree, advanced technical certification, or other pertinent graduate degree preferred.

What You’ll Get to Do:

If you have experience managing eDiscovery projects across the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) and are looking to grow and manage multiple high visibility projects for the Department of Justice (DOJ) then this position is for you! More About the Role:

As a part of a high performing team, CACI’s Litigation Project Managers work with Lead Project Managers and Deputy Division Directors to serve as the primary person responsible for all support provided to a particular case.  Project Managers will generally be responsible for more than one active case at a time; a caseload of six to ten moderately active, moderately sized cases will be typical, with several of the cases possibly in the discovery and/or document review stage, one case in trial, several in the deposition preparation/witness binder stage, etc. Additional responsibilities include:

• This position manages several projects varying in size and complexity that can go through all or some of the phases of the EDRM spectrum, from investigation, intake/acquisition of documents and data (discovery), through trial support.
• The Project Manager is the Government's primary point of contact for all support for the case.
• The Project Manager will have frequent contact with the DOJ COR, Case Managers, trial attorneys, client agency staff, and sometimes even opposing counsel. 
• The Project Manager is responsible for planning and managing all support for the case, including monitoring workflow, progress reporting, identifying and assigning staff, budget development and tracking, coordinating technical/data processing and eDiscovery support, and obtaining other required resources. 
• Performs an active quality assurance role to ensure high quality work delivered on time. 
• Ensures that proper security is maintained overall project materials, in accordance with security procedures. 
• Coordinates with other Contractor components to deliver project support. 

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

• At least four years of progressively more responsible supervisory and management experience on major e-discovery/litigation support projects, including proven capabilities and communication skills to successfully interact with clients and attorneys.
• Demonstrated experience working in eDiscovery document review platforms such as Relativity, Clearwell, iCONECT, Casepoint, Everlaw, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to manage numerous complex and time-critical litigation support activities simultaneously, including technical/data processing and eDiscovery support activities.
• Requires expert knowledge of litigation support; outstanding writing skills; excellent oral communication skills; and excellent management skills.
• Must be able to anticipate litigation support needs and develop and execute detailed plans for addressing those needs.
• Requires knowledge of the Government's data processing environment where the work is performed, including PC-based and virtual environments.
• Familiarity with Electronically Stored Information (ESI) tools and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources required.
• Should be an expert user of the Government's office and network environment, including but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheet, imaging, and hardware and document review platforms.
• Undergraduate degree required.Law degree, advanced technical certification, or other pertinent graduate degree preferred.
• Substantial significant experience may in some cases be substituted for degree requirement.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• Certification(s) in Relativity, ACEDS, and other eDiscovery related technical certifications.
• Trial support experience.
