Job Summary:
We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee mid-size projects within the Core Banking portfolio, while managing project tracking responsibilities. The ideal candidate should have some project management experience, a good understanding of scripting or programming (e.g., Python or Excel VBA), and an ability to retrieve and visualize data from JIRA. Experience with portfolio tracking, data analysis, and creating dashboards using tools like Excel’s Power Query or Power BI is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage mid-size projects within the Core Banking portfolio, ensuring that they are delivered on time and within scope.
• Help with tracking and managing the overall Core Banking project portfolio, including dashboarding and reporting on project progress.
• Extract data from JIRA and write Excel VBA or Python scripts to automate the retrieval and processing of data.
o Example use case: Extract a list of stories from JIRA, enrich it with data on defects or test cases using JIRA APIs, and visualize it in Excel.
o Example use case: Create Excel VBA scripts to track defect status changes (e.g., from "In Progress" to "Ready for UAT").
• Build project dashboards and reports using Excel Power Query or Power BI to visualize key project metrics such as burn-down charts, cumulative charts, and other critical KPIs.
• Use Easy BI to analyse project parameters and support decision-making.
• Perform basic data analysis, clean data sets, and generate insights from project data using Power BI or similar tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution and communication on project delivery.
• Maintain clear and regular updates on project status to stakeholders through visual dashboards and progress reports.
Skills and Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in project management and project delivery, ideally in a technology or financial services environment.
• Demonstrated experience in project portfolio tracking, including dashboarding and reporting.
• Hands-on experience with scripting or programming (e.g., Python, Excel VBA) for automating data retrieval and visualization.
• Familiarity with JIRA APIs to extract and analyse data from JIRA and other project tracking tools.
• Proficiency in Excel Power Query, Power BI, or other data visualization tools to create project dashboards and perform data cleaning.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

• Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams
