What you will be doing

·Developing new customer relationships and maintaining existing business

· Providing input into business plans and Chair Planning Meetings, influencing debate and contributing to discussion on operational matters

As an experienced ICP Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the rapidly growing street furniture estate, leading the ICP (Independent Connection Provider) accreditation and ongoing connection management. You will contribute to the planning, execution, and successful closure of projects within the construction portfolio. Your leadership skills and in-depth knowledge will be instrumental in driving the success of these projects. The role will support the goal to become an ICP by Q2 2025 and will report to the Head of Health and Safety. You will be taking the company through the NERS accreditation from start to finish.
What you'll need to succeed

• Minimum of HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience working in the construction industry, specifically in Electrical projects.
• Strong electrical background in the DNO, IDNO, or ICP industry.
• Experience with installation or project management of electrical infrastructure up to 11 kV to NERS requirements.
• Comprehensive knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation and compliance on construction sites.
• Professional Project Management Qualification such as APM PMQ/PPQ or Prince2. (Not essential)
• Proven experience in project management, preferably in the highways or related industries such as utility networks.

Hays Technology are working closely with a client looking for an Oracle Project Services Lead to support them with their hypercare period after an ERP implementation.

This role will be up to £800 p/d inside IR35 and hybrid 2 days p/w onsite in the West Midlands.

For this role you will need experience in:

• Support Internal Mobility & Restructuring: Assist in managing the internal recruitment and mobility processes during the restructuring phase. Ensure alignment with the clients post-go-live objectives for Oracle Cloud.
• Oversee External Recruitment: Provide hands-on leadership in supporting external recruitment activities.
• Vendor Management: Act as the primary point of contact between the client and third-party service providers. Facilitate effective communication to ensure that all post-go-live technical issues are identified and resolved promptly.

• Regular Status Reporting: Facilitate review meetings with third-party providers to discuss system performance, open issues, and areas for improvement. Provide updates to the Oracle Fusion Board on system performance and recruitment-related activities.
• Issue Escalation: Post-hypercare, managing the escalation process for any unresolved issues with Oracle or third-party providers, ensuring that problems are addressed efficiently.
• Support Documentation: Ensure that system changes and updates are documented and communicated to relevant internal teams, ensuring consistency in system usage and support.
• Compliance and Security: Ensure that all processes and procedures are aligned with the legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
• Maintenance: Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the timely and efficient implementation of quarterly patches to ensure system stability and compliance.

The company is a UK leading organisation specialising in major mechanical and electrical installations within the automotive and food processing industry. The huge range of work carried out by the company includes electrical, process pipework and plant installations, planned and preventive maintenance, environmental services and many other engineering services associated with the automotive and food industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a electrical project engineer to join the Automotive Services division, managing electric vehicle charging installation projects across the UK.

Duties

As an experienced and qualified electrical project engineer, you'll be based in the company's regional office in Castle Bromwich, working with a range of clients on various manufacturing facilities across the UK. Primary responsibilities will be to deliver electric vehicle charging installation works in line with the company's procedures to QHSE standards. Typical duties will include, carrying out site surveys and producing detailed scope of work documentation, work schedules, and projects plans. Preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates and quotations in line with the client requirements. Producing detailed, works schedules, resources and projects plans. Compiling health and safety documentation to include the production of method statements and risk assessments. Other duties will include managing in house and subcontract resources allocated to a project and delivering projects on time, within budget and ideally exceeding customer's expectations.

About You

Based ideally in Birmingham you will need to live within a commutable distance of B24 9QG.

Previous experience as a project or contract engineer within the electric vehicle industry ideally E.V charging equipment AC up to 44kW and DC up to 350kW would be advantageous. Experience in the electrical contracting industry is essential, specifically in an industrial or heavy commercial environment.

Full UK driving licence is essential.
