Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Executive/Manager to handle the full range of HR functions focused on the workforce within the Marine sector. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in managing workers and be well-versed in Singapore's Ministry of Manpower (MOM) regulations. The role will involve recruitment, employee management, and ensuring compliance with Singapore's employment laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes for workers, including blue-collar staff for shipyards and related marine projects.
- Ensure full compliance with MOM regulations, including work permits, employment passes, and relevant labor laws.
- Administer and manage employee benefits, including leave management, medical claims, and insurance.
- Handle employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary actions, fostering a positive working environment for all workers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records, including employee personal files, work pass statuses, and attendance.
- Implement and manage payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and timely submission in compliance with MOM guidelines.
- Coordinate training and development programs for workers to enhance productivity and ensure safety standards are met.
- Assist with performance evaluations and develop strategies for workforce retention.
- Act as the main point of contact for any MOM-related inquiries and inspections.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in an HR role, preferably within the Marine or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of MOM regulations and employment laws in Singapore.
- Experience managing blue-collar workers and handling work pass applications and renewals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with workers and management alike.
- Proficient in HR management systems and payroll software.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in workforce management within shipyards, construction, or industrial environments.
- Familiarity with safety and compliance training for workers.
- Ability to manage workforce planning and resolve labor-related issues efficiently.
