About the Role

To provide a comprehensive and flexible council-wide tailored business support service to internal and external customers of Nottingham City Council, enabling consistency of service delivery across the council and wider community.

Business Support Officers are expected to advise and respond to a range of enquiries from customers, signposting to services and requesting responses on their behalf. They will also organise, maintain and develop information systems, progress chase on a range of matters to ensure colleagues achieve Corporate, Departmental and external deadlines, as well as effectively communicating with internal and external customers face to face, in writing and over the telephone while adhering to the business support standards.

The successful candidates will provide administrative support to the team at Crocus Field Children's Residential Home who provide short term care for children up to the aged of 18. The candidate will be expected to provide holiday and sickness cover for Business Support Colleagues in other residential homes across Nottingham.

About You

• Ability to use a computer in order to prepare correspondence and maintain computerised records, and able to adapt to new IT packages;
• Ability to work under pressure and to fixed deadlines;
• Good written and verbal communication skills;
• Sensitivity to the needs of customers and staff.

-          A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.

Your new company
You will be joining an industry leading sub-contractor within the Civil Engineering industry who have a number of schemes on the National Highways SDF Framework within the Midlands region specialising in street lighting instillation and design.

Your new role
You'll be managing street lighting and traffic signal schemes on National Highways SDF across the Midlands area. You will be responsible for, but not limited to, developing project schedules and budgets, assist with project scope and design whilst preparing project status reports. Furthermore, you will liaise with external stakeholders such as the client and report progress to the operational team.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed, you will have experience working on street lighting or traffic signal projects previously as a Project Manager. You will hold a CSCS Gold or Black card and an electrical background isn't essential, but strongly preferred.

A client within the public sector based in the East Midlands is currently recruiting for an Asset Project Manager to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, contract position with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority environment.

The Role

Key purpose of the role is to support the Head of Capital Programme Delivery in the provision of a service through the formulation, development, implementation, co-ordination and monitoring of capital projects.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• manage individual Capital projects including making informed decisions, assessing problems and the potential for improvements, and negotiating with project team members.
• support project teams by helping with the co-ordination and input of all those involved in the design and implementation of Capital projects.
• plan, co-ordinate and develop consultation and publicity on Capital Projects ensuring that all relevant stakeholders are involved.
• attend Council's meetings, tenant forums and community forums to represent the NCCHS as directed.
• assess the problems and the potential for improvement and value engineering within identified target areas.

The Candidate

To be considered for this role you will require a degree or equivalent minimum BTEC HND/HNC in the field of engineering, construction/project management.

It will be essential to be in experiences in the below:

• Driving Licence with access to a vehicle.
• Sound knowledge and practiced experience of project management techniques, ideally with experience of successful delivery of major capital and regeneration projects.
• Able to prepare and maintain up-to-date project plans and supporting documentation and ensure a robust approach to project governance

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £300 - 400 p/d Umbrella Ltd. (approx. £240 - £320 p/d PAYE)
