Annual Salary: $70,000 to $ 80,000 plus superannuation
Brendan Scott Hocking t/as Brendan Hocking Plumber is seeking a highly skilled Roof Plumber to join our team. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive background in both traditional plumbing and roof plumbing, with a strong focus on system installation, maintenance, and repair across a range of plumbing and roofing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plumbing System Design & Installation:
o Study blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan and determine the layout of plumbing systems and the materials required for their installation.
o Set up and install hot and cold water systems, including all related equipment, across both commercial and residential properties.
o Design, install, and maintain sanitary plumbing systems, including water supply lines, discharge pipes, sanitary fixtures, and drains.
o Fabricate and install soil and waste stacks to meet plumbing codes and industry standards.
• Roof Plumbing:
o Fabricate, install, and maintain metal roofing systems, including gutters, downpipes, flashings, and rainwater goods.
o Install and repair roof drainage systems, ensuring effective runoff and water management.
o Ensure the proper installation of roof flashings to prevent water ingress and maintain the integrity of the roofing system.
o Install and maintain roof ventilation systems to support airflow and minimize moisture buildup in roof cavities.
• Drainage & Waste Management:
o Install below-ground drainage systems, ensuring all installations are properly supported and in compliance with local regulations.
o Install and maintain sewerage and effluent pumping equipment, ensuring proper disposal and management of waste materials.
Skills and Experience Required:
• At least 2 years proven experience as a Roof Plumber and/or Plumber with a strong knowledge of plumbing and roofing systems.
• Expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Knowledge of industry standards and building codes related to plumbing and roof systems.
• Experience in the installation and maintenance of sanitary plumbing systems.
• Skilled in the installation of mechanical services.
• Strong ability to work with metal roofing and rainwater systems, including the fabrication and installation of flashings and guttering.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Qualifications and other requirements:
• Trade qualification in Roof Plumbing (Cert III or equivalent).
• Relevant plumbing and roof plumbing registration/license
• If holding a visa; a visa with unrestricted work
