The Assembly Operator is responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and refurbishing laptops and ATMs. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to technical instructions and safety protocols.

Duties:
- Disassemble and reassemble laptops and ATMs according to detailed technical blueprints and schematics.
- Install and replace hardware components such as motherboards, processors, memory modules, hard drives, and other peripheral components.
- Clean, refurbish, and recondition parts and assemblies to meet quality standards.
- Ensure all units are reassembled correctly and functioning properly.
- Perform functional tests on repaired and refurbished units to ensure all components are operating correctly.
- Diagnose and repair any assembly issues or defects.
- Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot hardware problems.
- Document any issues found and actions taken to resolve them.
- Inspect assembled and refurbished products for any defects or deviations from specifications.
- Ensure all assembled products meet company's quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Document any defects and take corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, test results, repairs, and refurbishments.
- Prepare and submit reports on production status, issues, and improvements
- Follow standard operating procedures and update documentation as needed
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
-Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in safety training sessions and emergency drills.

Personal specification:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in electronics, computer technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in assembly, refurbishment, or repair of electronic or electro-mechanical equipment, particularly in the IT, banking, or retail sectors, is advantageous.
- Familiarity with laptop and/or ATM components and assembly processes is a plus.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical diagrams and schematics.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of precision in assembly tasks.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to use software for testing and diagnostics.

CNC Recruitment is seeking 2 x dedicated and efficient Combi Operators/Pickers to join our client in Henstridge area - a well-respected metal fabrication company in the UK.

Duties:
- Working as part of the team of operators, picking and collating steel to order and preparing them for loading as and when orders are generated
- Identifying and locating different steel products, using appropriate measuring equipment and replenishing stock in the racks
- Unloading lorries, batching and allocating steel to appropriate locations as necessary
- Collating and planning customer orders as per the pre-determined load list and loading the lorry accordingly.
- Attending all training courses when required
- Following all safe systems of work at all times

Requirements:
- Experience driving forklift or combi-lifts, working with metal, or working in a warehouse environment is desirable not essential.

Please note - one position is for day shift 6.00am to 2.00pm and another one for late shift 2.00pm to 10.00pm.

CNC Recruitment is currently seeking Production Workers to join our client in Stalbridge area - one of the largest metal manufacturer in the UK. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating machinery and ensuring the efficient production of goods.

Duties:
-Operating a selection of manual and CNC based machinery for metal processing
-Processing steel to customers’ requirements and tolerances. Working within the company’s quality system to ensure the full traceability of customer orders
- Understanding how to read drawings, orders and following verbal instructions, being available to train others in this area.
- Operate forklifts, Combi lifts and the crane safely and in a controlled manner
- Ensuring daily checks are performed on your equipment, crane and forklift/Combilift, these are to be carried out before you start your shift.

- Collating aforementioned orders, including banding, palletising, bagging and preparing them for loading.
- Loading and offloading of plate and parts from the plasma and laser machines
- Identifying and locating different steel products using appropriate measuring equipment
- Keeping machines and work areas clean and tidy
- Reporting any accidents and incidents to the HS&E Manager
- Reporting any machine faults/breakdowns to the Production Supervisor or Maintenance Manager
- Attending all training courses when required
- Following all safe systems of work at all times. Identifying and reporting any shortcomings that become apparent whilst undertaking tasks or if the tasks change or new activities are undertaken. Liaising with the HS&E department to ensure such risks are assessed and procedures amended as necessary
- Actively engaging in the identification of risks within the workplace and the subsequent assessment development of suitable safe systems of work. When necessary, intervening to prevent breaches of health and safety and/or report as necessary
- Following the requirements of the Company Quality Management Systems, policies and procedures to help achieve a quality product for the customer and reduce the non-conformances
- Following the requirements of the Company Environmental Management System to assist the Company’s objective to reduce the detrimental effect on the environment by way of waste management and any other areas to improve the environmental impact.

Essential requirements:

Working hours:
Monday to Friday, Mid Shift: 14:00 – 22:00 - 40 hours per week with 30 minutes paid break/day.

As a Press Brake Operator, your primary responsibility is to operate machinery used for bending and shaping metal sheets and plates according to precise specifications. You will play a critical role in the manufacturing process by producing high-quality metal components that meet the required specifications and standards.

Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup:
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
Set up and calibrate Amada press brake machine based on job specifications (e.g., adjusting bend angles, material thickness, die selections).
Conduct test runs to ensure machine setup is correct before full production.
- Operation:
Operate the Amada press brake to form metal parts to required tolerances.
Inspect the first piece, make adjustments as necessary, and ensure that production matches quality standards.
Monitor machine performance during operation and address any operational issues.
- Quality Control:
Use measuring tools like callipers, micrometers, and protractors to check part dimensions and angles.
Ensure that parts meet specified tolerances and customer requirements.
Perform regular inspections to ensure consistency and quality in production runs.
- Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance on the Amada machine, including cleaning and lubrication.
Troubleshoot and repair minor machine issues or report more serious problems to maintenance personnel.
- Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of production, machine settings, and part inspection results.
Complete work orders and other documentation as required by company procedures.
- Safety:
Follow all safety protocols when operating the machine and working on the production floor.
Ensure that all safety guards and equipment are in place before operation.
Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors immediately.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Skills:
Proficient in operating Amada press brake machines (or similar CNC press brake machines).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications.
Knowledge of metal fabrication techniques and materials.
- Physical Requirements:
Able to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
- Experience:
Prior experience working with Amada press brakes or other CNC-controlled machines.
Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication and related equipment.
- Attention to Detail:
Ability to produce high-quality work with precise tolerances.
Strong problem-solving skills to adjust machine settings and processes.
- Communication:
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding job progress and machine performance.
- Preferred Experience:
Experience with CNC programming, particularly for Amada machines.
