To participate in periodic testing as defined by HTM 01-01 / HTM 01-06. To ensure all daily cleaning tests / procedures are completed and documented on relevant Quality Management System documentation or records for decontamination equipment. To organise receipt and despatch of loan equipment as defined in Working Instruction, ensuring all documentation required is received and interpreted to ensure safe reprocessing. To actively participate in Quality Management System documentation and records for the ordering, purchase, and assessment of new / replacement medical devices. To manage incoming and outgoing of Loan medical devices into Sterile Services, ensuring relevant Quality Management System documentation and records are completed as required, reviewing decontamination IFUs and checklists. To arrange archiving of designated Quality Management System documentation / records into archive boxes and/or electronic held copies. To supervise and direct Sterile Service personnel where needed to ensure department areas are maintained to satisfactory standards regarding maintaining cleaning throughout shifts. Participate in Infection Control audits as required by defined schedule. Report and implement corrective actions as required and/or report to Decontamination Services Manager or Deputy Decontamination Manager. To ensure completion of required actions raised from MICAD / Housekeeping cleaning audits. To help maintain stock of medical devices through ensuring items are serviced / repaired with appropriate/designated provider. To create order form and/or arrange with company or representatives replacement medical devices to ensure trays are maintained to defined stock levels. To participate in all activities as defined in Job Description of Technician and Senior Technician. Be expected to respond to calls from cabins/theatres if requiring assistance and/or to answer questions/queries. Undertake Endoscopy processing using Endoscope Washer Disinfector, following defined procedures. Action any Decontamination machinery breakdowns Assist and use judgement when authorising annual leave, TOIL, sickness, and special leave, ensuring amendments to roster are recorded accurately. Undertake Return-to-work Interviews for short-term absence lasting less 7-days or less. To monitor any Health and Safety concerns and report to appropriate personnel in Sterile Services and Trust for action. To participate in Risk Assessments for area of Sterile Service operation and those required for individual needs. Action any Decontamination machine or facility failures to appropriate person in Sterile Services or Trust, raising Job requests if necessary. To promote consistency in processes and procedures as defined in Quality Management System. To be diligent and observant regarding responsibility in monitoring behaviours and conduct of team members. Identifying and reporting any misconduct and documenting incidents. When able manage at time of occurrence and escalating if required to Deputy Decontamination Manager and/or Decontamination Services Manager.
