Due to continued success they currently have some great opportunities for Electrical Assembly Technicians to join the team.
About the Business:
You will work within a team to wire, build and test machinery intended for the food industry. You will join a team of around 30 technicians within the electrical department and will report to the Electrical Manger. You will work in conjunction with the mechanical assembly team as well as our quality department.
They are looking for someone who has experience within an engineering organisation and is able to read and understand engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and BOM's.
As one of their Electrical Assembly Technician's, you will predominantly be based on site, but you will also be required to communicate with other departments across the other buildings. There may also be a requirement to attend customer sites to conduct installations of the equipment you have had a hand in building, alongside our Field Service and Projects team.
Key Tasks and Accountabilities:
* Wire panel back-plates, doors etc. from circuit diagrams and panel layouts provided.
* Ensure electrical build quality is of the highest possible standard.
* Electro/mechanical installation of control cubicle components and field components.
* Terminate and secure external cabling to the correct points in the control panel.
* Install PLC & HMI programs
* Carry out earth continuity, insulation, and pre-delivery testing
* Where necessary, perform remote support and on-site support to breakdown situations.
* Where necessary, perform on-site machine commissioning.
* Perform on-call and service duties as per service rota.
* The jobholder should be aware that on occasion, working outside of normal hours will be required, both within the UK and overseas.
Experience:
* Time served electrician, with experience of industrial control system wiring and fault finding.
* 18th Edition certified.
* Experience of working with PLCs, servo drive systems and AC inverters.
* Experience within the food industry an advantage.
* Must possess a current driver's license.
Shift Pattern/Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, with a 30 minutes unpaid lunch break each day and two paid 15 minutes per day. 40 hours per week.
