Responsibilities:

Deliver and encourage outstanding customer service delivery
Ensure that all security personnel always adhere to their duties and policies and procedures of the site, reporting any breach of these to the Duty Security Manager and the Security Manager
To monitor the CCTV cameras within the Security Control Room
Arrange for the collation and viewing of CCTV images in response to incident management, in line with the CCTV Code of Practice
Prepare and maintain the Security Control Room equipment for operational use
Ensure the Security Control Room is kept tidy
To monitor, operate and report all Security Control Room technologies (intruder alarms, access control systems, BMS, fire alarm system, lift intercoms, lift monitoring stations)
To be conversant with all life safety systems and assist in responding to all emergencies promptly as illustrated in the Assignment Instructions
Inspect equipment for failures and faults, reporting these in line with procedures
Maintain accurate daily electronic occurrence log records (via the CIS HUB)
Maintain the patrol system, ensuring all assets are accounted for, all patrols are completed, and all compliance checks are completed
Reporting any discrepancies on any of the systems to your Duty Security Manager & or Security Manager
Producing site access control passes
Responsible for the administration of lost & found property
Book on all members of the security team correctly at the start of each shift & prepare & issue the daily rota
Carry out uniform checks & check SIA licences & CIS ID’s of all oncoming team members
Report any issues or incidents to the Duty Security Manager or Security Manager
Respond to all incidents in line with policies and procedures
Ensure all incidents and issues are formally investigated and recorded
Assist the Duty Security Manager and Security Manager as per the needs of the site
Provide effective support during incidents and lead incident response in the Duty Security Manager’s absence
Maintain a high level of morale and discipline within the team, taking into consideration their welfare
Carry out training with Security Officer’s and ensure that there are suitable personnel on your shift able to step up and cover your role
To cover for the Duty Security Manager when required to do so

Job Requirements:

SIA Door Supervisor & CCTV Licence is required.
Minimum of 1 year experience in a CCTV Control Room environment

Primary Responsibility: Provide a safe and secure environment for all staff, tenants, visitors, students and contractors, following instructions from Supervisors and designated Shift Manager. Duties Include:

Providing service excellence to all - to staff, students, tenants, and visitors - who attend the campus.
Overseeing fire alarm activations (must be confident in fire marshal duties as well as operating fire panels) and assisting with fire evacuations.
Regularly update all documentation and logs such as (but not restricted to) Daily / Weekly / Monthly Checks, fire log books, and electronic systems.
Manage all electronic documentation and systems, including E-DOB, Genetec, Datastation, EverBridge, SharePoint and Locale.
Operate and observe CCTV and perform CCTV patrols in compliance with best GDPR practises.
Manage the team deployment timetable ensuring Officers are deployed to correct taskings or to areas of concern / responding to suspicious activity or incidents.
Operate the access control system by printing / activating / deactivating access passes.
Complete all paperwork accurately and neatly, forwarding to the appropriate personnel as required.
Ensure accurate incident reports are completed to a high standard, including timings, names, titles, details, CCTV stills, BWC stills, statements and witness statements.
Responding to emergency situations and incidents.
Patrolling the campus (internal & external) when required.
First aid and fire marshal responders where required.
Event support when required.
Problem solving.
Assisting with last minute requests.

Job Description:

Constantly monitor CCTV for any suspicious activity and deploy Security Officers (SO) accordingly.
Consistently update E-DOB effectively and factually.
Update and assist with electronic security systems including (but not restricted to) incident reports, Genetec, Data Station, CCTV and BWC footage.
Update relevant documents including (but not restricted to) the Daily / Weekly Checks, Monthly Checks, Hand Over and fire logbooks.
CRO will manage the deployment timetable, ensuring all Officers are in designated positions at correct times.
Oversee fire alarm panels in SCR and react accordingly in compliance with the Fire Alarm and Fire Evacuation SOPs and Flowcharts.
To take all reasonable and required measures to protect venue.
To convey a smart, well-groomed appearance in issued uniform displaying a professional and approachable image in compliance with the companies’ brand standards.
To portray a friendly, professional, and courteous demeanour, using open and appropriate body language to all staff, tenants, students, visitors and contractors.
Vigilance is key in this regard. Any untoward activity and / or security related concerns must be immediately reported to Control Room Supervisor or Shift Manager.
Fire Marshal duties and responsibilities to be carried out in compliance with the site Fire Evac SOP and Fire Marshal training.
Respond to alarm activations and oversee fire panel responsibilities (such as isolations etc).
Monitor entry and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons - all untoward activity is to be monitored via CCTV and immediately reported to the Shift Manager.
Report writing (such as incidents reports) and strong data / information processing.
Carry out ad hoc requests / taskings when required.
Check equipment when issued at beginning of shift, including personal radio and bodycams.
Not to leave site or sign out unless instructed to do so by the Shift Manager, or when relieved by the oncoming CRO.

Job Role:

The post holder must, at all times, carry out their duties and responsibilities to comply with
policies/procedures.
Must be able to make decisions and act on behalf of the Site Manager in their absence
Monitor and operate the CCTV cameras and associated equipment in the CCTV Control Room. Follow protocols for maintain the security of the CCTV Control Room and its facilities.
Operate a range of remote monitoring, and communication facilities contained within the Control Room.
Report any incidents that occur immediately to the Loss prevention and/or report to other relevant agency and provide support/commentary to the Police and/or other relevant agency.
Maintain accurate records of data recordings and events, using incident reporting software
Participate in personal training and development in order to maintain an understanding of current CCTV legislation and regulation
Assist Police in respect of preparation of evidence and other activities associated with attendance at Court as a witness.
Provide assistance in displaying and exhibiting the CCTV services to interested parties
Participate in team briefings, operator working groups and the Employee Development and Performance Management Schemes to work more closely with management and other agencies in the development and administration of the service
At all times the post holder must maintain and respect the security and sensitivity of the service. Comply with the adopted Code of Practice and service operational procedures at times, breaches of which will result in disciplinary action being taken.
Any other duties which are equal or similar to the responsibility level and the grade of the post
Ensure that tapes/discs are stored securely under the Data Protection regulations and maintain the security of the Control Centre environment.
To understand and comply with the requirements of legislation that govern CCTV operations in order to maintain the security and integrity to the CIS Security’s CCTV policy.
Ensuring that all work is undertaken in compliance with the operating procedures, current legislation, and the codes of practice.
To monitor and operate communication with Security Officers (When required).
To manage and organise all onsite duties, so that operational needs are met.
Report any non-conformance from Security staff.
Write reports for CIS Management Team of all issues faced on shift.
Operationally assist and support the Security Team as required - Organise Security to attend to alarm activations and incidents on shift.
Ensure a thorough handover is conducted with the Controllers of the previous shift.

Job Responsibilities:

Deliver and encourage outstanding customer service delivery.
Ensure that all security personnel always adhere to their duties and policies and procedures of the site, reporting any breach of these to the Control Supervisor
To monitor the CCTV cameras within the Security Control Room
Arrange for the collation and viewing of CCTV images in response to incident management, in line with the CCTV Code of Practice
Prepare and maintain the Security Control Room equipment for operational use and the Security Control Room is kept tidy.
To monitor, operate and report all Security Control Room technologies (intruder alarms, access control systems, BMS, fire alarm system, lift intercoms, lift monitoring stations)
To be conversant with all life safety systems and assist in responding to all emergencies promptly as illustrated in the Assignment Instructions
Inspect equipment for failures and faults, reporting these in line with procedures.
Maintain accurate daily electronic occurrence log records (via the CIS HUB)


Maintain the MyTag system, ensuring all assets are accounted for, all patrols are completed, and all compliance checks are completed - Reporting any discrepancies on the MyTAG system to your Control Supervisor.
Producing site access control passes
Responsible for the administration of lost & found property.
Book on all members of the security team correctly at the start of each shift
Report any issues or incidents to the Control Supervisor or Duty Security Manager
Respond to all incidents in line with policies and procedures.
Ensure all incidents and issues are formally investigated and recorded.
To cover for the Control Supervisor in any instance of absence - Provide effective support during incidents and lead incident response in the Control Supervisor’s absence.

Job Requirements:

SIA Door Supervisor & CCTV Licence is required.
Security experience is required of at least 1 year.

Ensure incident reports are completed to a high level, including timings, names, titles, details, CCTV stills, BWC stills, statements and witness statements.
Responding to emergency situations and incidents and assisting with last minute requests
Update and assist with electronic security systems.
Oversee the deployment timetable ensuring Officers are deployed to their correct tasking or to areas of concern / respond to suspicious activity.
Complete all paperwork accurately and neatly, forwarding to the appropriate personnel as required
Ensure incident reports are completed to a high level, including timings, names, titles, details, CCTV stills, BWC stills, statements and witness statements
All control room-based documents, folders and registers are maintained in a neat, tidy and up to date manner
CCTV Op reports to the Senior CCTV Operator and their Shift Manager. Also acts on instructions received from the head of security, security contracts manager and wider DSM.
Assisting the Shift Managers with access control taskings or creating / activating access passes
Monitor on CCTV all incidents or security issues (if able to do so) and liaise with the Security Shift Manager.
