Progress Coach – Performance and Production

About the roleYou will focus on supporting and mentoring students to meet or exceed stretching targets, to develop as independent learners and to prepare for their next steps in education or industry.
You will undertake several functions within the role, including the delivery of individual and group tutorials and creation of resources, as well as tracking and supporting academic and personal progress; enterprise, progression and employability activities; supporting applications to higher education and employment; work experience planning, and reviewing and steering careers research; liaising with curriculum area team members and parents/carers to ensure students are focused, attending, performing well and enjoying their studies.
About the PersonYou will have:• An understanding of 16-18 and /or adult students and their needs• Experience of effective liaison and co-ordination of activities (whether in the education setting or elsewhere• High level interpersonal skills• Good time management• The ability to motivate students • An ability to use and analyse data • UCAS experience preferable

Calling all Engineers: Tutor of Electronics, Mechatronics & Manufacturing Engineering Vacancy Hours: 37 hours per week

This is a great opportunity to inspire our future engineers, teaching your specialist knowledge and skills across a range of vocational engineering & manufacturing programmes and apprenticeships at Level 3 & 4. The role be across programmes such as our HTQ HNC in Engineering pathways, HND, BTEC Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and our T Level Engineering Manufacturing Design and Development. The successful candidate would need electrical/electronic engineering & advanced manufacturing experience to deliver a range of topics such as Electronic Devices, Production & Manufacturing Systems, Programme Logic Controllers and Robotics, Electrical Power & Machines, and under pinning knowledge such as Electrical Electronic Principles.
About the personYou may be an experienced FE trainer/tutor, or a newly qualified tutor/teacher, however we would encourage applications from those working in manufacturing and/or engineering industry. Experience of leading projects/programmes would also be of benefit as there is potential within this role to lead our HE Engineering provision.
You should have a minimum of HND in a relevant Engineering discipline, or/and relevant industry standard qualifications and experience. You will ideally possess a recognised teaching qualification and assessor/IQA awards, or be willing to work towards these with funding support from the College. Recent experience within a manufacturing / engineering industry would be a significant advantage.
Candidates may offer skills and experiences suitable for a proportion of role or the total 37 hours per week.

Head of Curriculum & Standards: Performance and Production

About the roleThe Head of Curriculum and Standards for Performance and Production will lead a large team of staff to deliver high quality teaching, learning and assessment in three subject areas, namely Music, Media and Performing Arts. You will set and maintain high standards for performances, shows, gigs, concerts, and showcases in our on-site theatre and when our students represent the College at external venues. You will formulate and implement strategies to ensure that the quality of teaching, learning and assessment is of the highest standard
Under the direction of the Director of Curriculum: Further Education, and supported by a Deputy Head of Curriculum, the Head of Curriculum and Standards for Performance and Production will be a member of the College Leadership Team and will manage a diverse staff team, for whom you will provide the necessary support and direction they require, to help them deliver to a consistently high standard for the benefit of our students. Growing and developing the curriculum area through regular reviews of provision and through engagement with employers and partners is also a key feature of the role.
About the person You will have significant experience in the Performance and/or Production sector and will be able to bring industry standards and expectations to the curriculum area. You will also possess strong leadership skills that will make a difference for the benefit of staff and students. Experience of planning and delivering teaching or training relevant to the subject area is desirable.
A commitment to the transformational nature of further education is a must, as is ambition for the students, staff and outcomes of the curriculum area. Effective organisational skills, the ability to motivate others, and knowledge of the key issues facing Further Education are also essential.
