Fabrica AI is reinventing how robots are developed. Currently novel robots take 5-20 years. We are building a design automation platform to bring it down to a month, and have already demonstrated significant progress by developing tile grouting robots in record time. Robotics simulation and reinforcement learning has been advancing a lot making it 1000x cheaper to train robots compared to 5 years ago, and as Jensen Huang said at Nvidia GTC 2024, "the ChatGPT moment for robotics may be just around the corner." A couple other companies are building on the same paradigm shift but we are the only ones using it to automate hardware design, not just software.

Building robots and a design automation platform together brings great synergy - the platform helps us develop robots faster than anyone else and the robots allow us to gather data and do experiments at scale. Data gathering can be done through partnerships with other robotics companies, but doing experiments is crucial for grounding the platform in reality and ensuring its usefulness. The grouting robots are already deploying daily at construction sites and bringing value to clients. We are currently negotiating sales worth around 500k USD. With manufacturing cost multiple times lower than companies using a traditional robotic arm, our robots have an ROI in weeks. Our robot is also small and simple to use, operating from a single button without the need to upload floorplans or do any complex setup. Soon we would be expanding into other simple and valuable robots for the construction industry.

We’ve raised over 2.5m USD from Hoxton Ventures, Credo Ventures, our Professor from Cambridge University, Woh Hup, and the owner of BHCC (listed construction company). Your internship would revolve around bringing our robot to market. You may be remunerated with a combination of salary and share options. Qualifications & Experience:

• CREA is required. Certification as Welding Inspector (SNQC) IS-N2 is a competitive edge.
• Engineer JR: 2 years of overall experience is expected. Previous experience in Offshore/Onshore Oil & Gas area is a competitive edge. Previous experience in integrity management, implementation / maintenance of SPIE and ISO certificates, and failures analysis is a competitive edge. RESPONSIBILITIES

• The role involves planning, coordinating, and implementing standards development projects under the national standardization programme administered by Enterprise Singapore.
• Provide secretariat support to the Technical Committees and Working Groups. This includes preparation of agendas, meeting minutes, report compilation, drafting of standards, etc.
• Engage and coordinate with the industry, academia, and government organizations to facilitate the development, promotion, and review of Singapore Standards and Technical References.
• Organizing key standard launches events and other outreach events.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify, develop, and launch new standards. This includes conducting consultations and ensuring that standards are aligned with industry needs.
• Assist in the industry and technical research for the development of new/review of standards. Conduct verification studies to identify users of the standards.
• Handle inquiries regarding standards in your area of responsibility, ensuring prompt and accurate responses to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma qualification/ Fresh gradustes are welcome to apply
• Preferably with at least three (3) years of relevant work experience in safety or manufacturing related field
• Preferably with secretariat experience
• Min. 3 years of experience in quality, safety or manufacturing industry is advantageous
• Results-oriented and able to manage and execute projects in a team and independently.

• Good writing and communication skills.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

· Lead all aspects of Production Operations to fulfill customer orders on time.

· Improve processes within Production to reduce waste and lead time.

· Drives Continual Improvement Initiatives to ensure Zero-defect system and Eliminate workflow interruptions.

· Accountable for inventory accuracy in Production WIP and Finished goods.

· Drive efficiency and speed improvement for Production and Material flow processes through digitalization and automation initiatives.

· Backup for Production Supervisors to implement accurate and timely completion of work orders.

· Responsible for maintaining high safety and 5S standards.

· Ensure compliance of workplace safety rules, including but not limited to the usage of personal protective equipment, if provided to you, while working; not involved in any unsafe or negligent act that may endanger peers or oneself; reporting unsafe work conditions and providing suggestions to improve safety/ health at work, as needed.

· Degree/Diploma or equivalent experience in Manufacturing, Production, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or any related field.

· Knowledge of Lean, SPC tools or Oracle business system will be an advantage.
