The successful candidates for 13 months will be working as part of the engineering team that is responsible for sales order engineering, new product development and end user support

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities are varied and may include:

• Create new 3D component models, 2D detail design engineering drawings to support order engineering and product development projects

• Support and manage product engineering changes working with our manufacturing team, developing change notes and documentation for the change

• Support all other departments where necessary and ensure inter departmental cooperation is maintained

• To carry out investigations into product failures and application issues under the company’s returned goods system

• Develop jigs, tools in 3D design software and 3D print the part

• Use the local laser etchers for creating workflow more efficient

• Improve production process with using lean strategies

Requirements:

We are looking for bright, enthusiastic and motivated undergraduates who are en-route to obtaining a degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline and have the following skills:

The Future Talent Program features internships that last up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects.  This opportunity within our Manufacturing Division will provide you with hands-on experience in both project and change management, as well as cross-functional collaboration.

The Manufacturing Strategy, Business Development and Alliances (MSBDA) group is responsible for the development and realization of the strategy for the Manufacturing division and oversees the core enterprise manufacturing functions. The team designs, executes, and monitors processes required to deliver on our Manufacturing Division strategic portfolio commitments, as well as, managing business development, strategic alliances, and manufacturing network strategy.  The organization also provides project, program, and change management support for prioritized projects within the divisional portfolio.

The MSBDA intern will support project management and business realization initiatives led by the MSBDA organization. This individual must be a quick learner with the ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This role requires strong problem-solving capabilities, the ability to synthesize complex data into concise, actionable measures, and the ability to make rapid, sound decisions. The candidate must also demonstrate strong partnership and communication skills to enable interfacing with stakeholders.

The MSBDA intern will complete one or more projects over a 10 to 12-week period beginning late May or early June 2024. This experience will provide you with the opportunity to develop your business acumen, as well as provide you with insight into pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Required Education & Skills:

• Candidates must currently be enrolled in a minimum of a BS/BA in: Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Life Sciences, or related disciplines.

• Must be available for a period of 9-12 weeks, beginning June 2024..

Preferred Experience & Skills, candidate should have:

• G.P.A of 3.0 or higher

• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn on the job

• Ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams

• Proactive and adaptable in navigating ambiguous and complex environments

• Effective problem-solving skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral), including the ability to build consensus

• Strong presentation skills, including advanced PowerPoint skills

• Advanced data analytics skills with strong knowledge and experience in Excel or other data analysis tools (ex: Spotfire, Tableau, etc.)

• Strong technical competency and a desire to innovate

• Previous experience in project management and business strategy

Production Engineering​ (PE) Intern

As part of the Production team in Singapore, the intern will be able to learn the different manufacturing process, operational systems and activities that support pharmaceutical manufacturing. He/she will be expose to the various process, systems and activities associated with cGMP manufacturing operations within IPT.

The PE intern key responsibilities are as follows:

• Assist in the management of cGMP documentation
• Assist in conducting daily tier meetings between operators, engineers and managers
• Collect and analyze operational data to drive productivity
• Work on continuous improvement activities that help to improve the current operation processes and systems
• Actively participate in group meeting discussions and continuous improvement. Collaborate with colleagues whenever possible to achieve both operational and project goals.

Job Requirements:

• Current pursuing a Diploma in a technical field, preferably in a science or engineering.
• Demonstrated capability in application of sound engineering and scientific principles, project management skills and structured / analytical problem-solving techniques
• An excellent team player who is able to readily take on responsibilities and work independently
• Strong interest in working in an engineering and operational environment
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills
