About the Client:
Our client are specialists in timber frame with a strong track record in housing and they are working along side prestigious, well known new build developers in the UK. They manufacture complete structural platform frames, roof and floor cassettes.
Job Role:
To develop, implement and deliver best practice manufacturing, processes and procedures to achieve excellent operational performance.
Pay and Benefits:
• £19.60 p/h starting salary (£25,350 per annum)
• 37.5 hour working week - Currently stable days Monday - Friday but will require rotating shifts as the company continues to expand

Responsibilities:
• Ensure that health and safety guidelines, KPIs and SSOW are always adhered to and achieved.
• Utilise labour to ensure the smooth running of the production department.
• Utilise machinery and equipment to drive efficiency
• Drive productivity rates and standards and through continuous improvement
• Oversee Quality control throughout the assigned production process
• Liaise with other departments, teams when and where required
• In conjunction with Production Manager review worker performance and identify training needs. Update Skills Matrix for a shift as/when required to ensure continued development and promote multi-skilling across production processes.
Essential Skills:
• Previous experience of supervising/managing teams in a manufacturing industry
• Ability to use ERP systems, reporting and analysis of data
• Ability to lead production teams confidently and proactively
• All round knowledge of materials, equipment and labour is required throughout the production process
• Ability to work independently under the Production Manager and as a key part of the production team.
Qualifications / Experience
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing supervisory or management-type role.
• Have or working towards, IOSH Managing Safety certification
• Good understanding of LEAN manufacturing processes
• 5S
