This role focuses on improving Manufacturing Execution Systems, requiring SAP expertise to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

THE ROLE:

• Analyse data to identify and address stakeholder needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve business processes via technology.

• Support process improvement implementations, including change management and training.

This role will be working shifts rotating weekly

6am - 2pm one week, 2pm - 10pm and then 10pm - 6am

You will be responsible for running the factory efficiently

-Setting up and running the machines as per costed cycle

-Monitor and control tool maintenance and repairs

-Identify and pursue cost saving initiatives

-Follow ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems

You will also be responsible for looking after a small team

-Ensure good team discipline including checking the work of others

-Manage junior staff members

-Follow training manual for other team members

Key Responsibilities – Production Stores Operative

• Receipt of completed components into the Production Stores.
• Issuing of kits to production.
• Housing and transporting stock in the correct manner, using part specific protection methods.
• Completing perpetual stock takes as and when required.
• Support in the annual stock take.
• Returning unused components back into stock.
• Carrying out transactions using a computer-based stock management system.
• Housekeeping activities within the stores areas.
• Liaising with Production Control with stock issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work in a safe manner following required procedures and correct use of PPE ensuring your own safety and the safety of co-workers.
• Produce to required quality. Ensuring all quality checks are completed and required adjustments carried out.
• Identifying problems and rectifying in a timely manner.
• To manufacture production plan to achieve 100% customer attainment.
• Ensure efficient running of line and equipment. Reducing downtime as and when arises. Identify and resolving problem areas affecting performance. Inform Team Coordinators of issues and possible actions.
• Work as part of the Line team structure supporting team members in their activity when required to achieve team tasks.
• Minimise work order spoilage. Identifying and resolving any issues as they arise. Informing Team Coordinators of issues and possible actions were unable to resolve.
• Carry out required maintenance activities as and when required.
• Resolve breakdowns and carry out improvement tasks/projects as required.
• Involvement in training activates to improve own effectiveness as well as training others.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards.
• Lead the line team in problem solving for the rest of the production line and lead handover.

Job Specific Skills:

• Time served apprenticeship or recognised engineering qualification.
• Able to work from drawings, manuals, and technical documents.
• 3-5 years' experience in FMCG, preferably packaging.
• Confident communicator both written and verbally.
• Proactive approach to new methods and adaptable to change.
• Competent on changeovers.
• Ability to analysis problems and take corrective action.
• Understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Basic electrical knowledge (advantage in understanding problems).

The role: Electrical Engineering Manager

My client is an established key player in the high precision re-manufacturing industry, primarily focused on the design, manufacture and selling of equipment, consumables and knowledge transfer into the global semiconductor, geological and optical engineering markets. Their equipment delivers unrivalled accuracy, precision and repeatability.

Approximately 60% of all systems sold incorporate customer specific engineering content, making their output very low volume, high cost. They sell direct and through dealerships worldwide.

All Engineering design, machining and assembly are conducted on site.

They are looking for an experienced engineering manager to lead a multidisciplinary team of electrical/electronic and mechanical engineers.
Essential characteristics:
* Highly driven, results-oriented and organised individual with a proven track record of successfully leading new product development and/or production engineering activities within a small to medium business setting.
* Degree qualified in Electrical / Electronics or software engineering, alongside a proven track record of managing the mechanical engineering aspects of electro-mechanical equipment.
* Leadership and management experience, acting as both mentor and facilitator to achieve the strategic and commercial aims of the business and your department.
* Experience of managing the handover and support requirements for new products.
* Acting as the voice of engineering during design reviews, quality and fault reviews and production meetings.
* Able to effectively appraise capability and resource constraints and communicate issues with candour to all levels of the business, with the appetite and drive to improve the current status-quo.
* Prior involvement in the creation, maintenance, and enforcement of department processes.
* Lead personal development activities and SMART objective setting for the team, managing, and monitoring of KPI's to ensure individual and collective responsibilities are met.
* Customer support experience with in-field issues.
* Willingness to assist in engineering data creation where necessary - Electrical schematics / Software applications, CAD and BOM data, wherever applicable and within the scope of prior experience.


Desirable characteristics
* Knowledge of Semiconductor manufacturing equipment, or similar precision integrated electromechanical equipment.
* Experience of the following software packages:

o SolidWorks + SolidWorks data management
o LabVIEW
o E3 electrical engineering software.
o Sage x3 or similar MRP system
o Q-pulse or similar quality management software.
* Experience of ISO9001:2015, 14001 and 45001
