Guidant Global is collaborating with a reliable partner of the UK Ministry of Defence, who are searching for a Manufacturing Controller. The ideal candidate should have proficient knowledge in loading, stock controlling, inventory management, shelf-life tracking, and monitoring work packages in a manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a possible contract extension or permanent employment. You will be working full-time on-site.
What we're looking for:
- Emphasise relevant experience in stores or manufacturing/inventory control within a manufacturing environment. (highly essential, please ensure to highlight in detail on your CV)
- Manual handling training, Lifting and slinging training required, including overhead cranes
- Proficiency in PC skills such as Excel required
- Forklift truck, medical clearance, ESD training and FLT license required
- Knowledge of Kanban and two-bin systems are necessary
- Experience with Enterprise Planning Systems like SAP required
- Stores experience is required; General warehousing experience is not relevant.
What you'll get to do as a Manufacturing Controller:
The successful candidate should be experienced in manufacturing control and have knowledge of an Enterprise Planning System such as SAP. Additionally, knowledge of Kanban and two-bin systems is desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Issue, receive, and manage stores and inventory in a store's environment.
- Control and keep track of stock, including shelf-life control, which is essential.
- Load the manufacturing cells with the required jobs according to planned lead and cycle times to comply with manufacturing programs and delivery schedules.
- Pack products using hand tools and receive and issue tooling.
- Assemble all the necessary components for a worker to complete a task (known as kitting), which is essential.
- Load and unload Lorries.
