- Leads a team of trades and/or labor workers. On a regular and recurring basis, utilizes trades and/or labor knowledge and skill to lead a team of three or more workers in performance of various related work. Performs work. - Performs GMV Training and Certification within the Training, Validation Office (TVO) and leads other military and civilians performing training. Trains newly assigned military vehicle operators on a wide range of vehicles to include buses, tractor trailer, forklifts, wrecker/recovery vehicles, passenger vans/buses ranging from 12 passengers to 55 passengers.

- Administers Installation GMV Licensing Function and Installation Vehicle Misuse Program. Performs Operator Records and Licensing functions within the TVO office issuing and updating GMV licenses for personnel across JBSA.

- Drives buses, tractor trailers and/or other vehicles typically having a GVW of more than 32,000 pounds to include wrecker/recovery vehicles, and one or more electric, LPG, or diesel-powered forklift trucks to facilitate loading and unloading duties. May be required to transport bulky and unwieldy items.

- Maintains records and documents actions. Properly completes operator/customer inspections checklists, forms and accident/incident reports as required.

The Supervisory Border Patrol Agent (BORSTAR Operator) serves as a First Line Supervisor in a primary law enforcement office position under 5 U.S.C. 8331(c) and 8412(d). Duties and responsibilities include:

• Serving as a first-line supervisor over BPAs engaged in law enforcement work, supervising a specially trained and equipped search and rescue unit to conduct high-risk and specialized law enforcement responses, often in short notice, to situations of local, regional and national significance.
• Planning and coordinating the search and rescue, tactical medicine, technical rescue, land navigation, communication, swift-water rescue, and air operations and logistical programs that facilitate the fielding of a BORSTAR special response team.
• Testifying in court on behalf of both criminal and administrative proceedings; and/or ensuring subordinate BPAs are capable of carrying out the task.
• Resolving discrepancies, reviewing criminal complaints, and managing the tracking of suspects and evidence, and the coordination of assignments for BPAs who testify in court on behalf of both criminal and administrative proceedings.
• Ensuring that the USBP strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated to the unit and integrated into the unit's strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and work products and services.
