Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Auto Assembly Department Supervisor to lead our day shift operations. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the Automated Assembly and Fixative/Reagent Manufacture processes. Your responsibilities will encompass coordinating production activities in alignment with health and safety regulations and company policies.

Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Ensure the Auto Assembly Department delivers high-quality finished products as per orders and forecasts.
- Review the production schedule and collaborate with your direct reports to plan upcoming production duties.
- Consult with your manager at the beginning of each shift to establish daily priorities.
- Provide a comprehensive handover report at the end of your shift to the Manufacturing team and Management. Include:
- Overview of products being manufactured by the assembly machines.
- Details of any breakdowns or significant maintenance issues to your manager and Maintenance Engineer.
- Any other pertinent information for the next shift supervisor or your direct report.
- Report equipment damage to your manager promptly.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained to a clean working standard at all times.
- Report any external maintenance requests or equipment damage to your manager.
- Oversee and enforce the correct uniform/PPE usage by your team at all times.
- Conduct regular stock checks and request the purchase of necessary equipment and daily consumables for the glass department.
- Maintain and manage spreadsheets and production records related to the Auto Assembly Department.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of production processes, including automated assembly and manufacturing.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of quality.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in using spreadsheet software.
