Randstad Construction & Property are working on behalf of a National Facilities Management company to find an experienced and collaborative Maintenance Electrician to join their team in Liverpool. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out PPMs and reactive maintenance on site.

Location: Liverpool (static)

Salary: Competitive (up to £40,000 depending on experience)

Employment type: shifts, permanent, Monday-Friday

An average day will include the following:

• To maintain and repair a range of electrical, mechanical plant and equipment
• Working in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complying with the laid-down Company Health and Safety policy
• To undertake regular planned visits and complete PPM tasks and minor repairs requested
• To undertake a variety of legal compliance electrical testing including emergency lighting, fire alarm and in-house servicing of equipment
• To undertake a variety of electrical repairs arising from periodic inspection and testing

An ideal candidate will have:

• Formal Apprenticeship and formal trade qualifications in an electrical field
• A City & Guilds or equivalent in electrical installations or similar
• 18th Edition IEE Wire & Regulations
• Experience of working within FM or the building maintenance industry

In this role, you will be responsible for strategic planning and overseeing both direct operatives and subcontracted maintenance providers, ensuring the delivery of efficient, high-quality services that comply with all statutory, regulatory, and safety standards.

About You
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing multidisciplinary teams, with responsibilities including recruitment, handling disciplinary issues, appraisals, and performance management. Strong operational finance management skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft applications and high computer literacy are also key advantages.

• Experience with PFI and Hard FM services

Job Title: Maintenance Plumber
Pay: £18 an hour
Temp to perm
Hours: Monday-Friday 08:00 - 16:00

Main Duties include:

• Complete maintenance plumbing and multi skilled works.

• Fix reactive response and rectification duties - Including fault finding and resolution
• To effectively and proactively assist in supporting the team to achieve KPI's
• Providing support to colleague and technical advice to resolve open problems and encourage a learning culture within the technical team.

• You will ensure all jobs are completed on time and logged on the CAFM system.
• You will complete any other reasonable duties asked.

Qualifications and Key Skills:

• Electrical qualification essential. (Level 3 NVQ or equivalent desired).
• Must have 18th edition.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• ECS card desired but not essential.
• Ability to work independently and on own initiative, yet follow instruction and rules as required.
