Accurate Asphalt & Road Repairs (AARR) is a well-established, professional Road Construction Contractor, focused on the provision of a diverse range of road construction and maintenance services to Government, Public and Private sectors across NSW. Specializing in asphalt, in-situ stabilization and civil construction, AARR is committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and building strong customer relationships.
Position Summary
The workshop Mechanical Engineering Technician is responsible for the day to day safe and efficient running of the mechanical workshop, fixings and fastenings and machine tools to ensure the smooth progression of projects through the workshop for optimal utilisation of plant & machinery by the operations teams.
The workshop technician is required to work in unity with all persons employed with AARR and the public. Essentially you will work honestly and efficiently and be totally committed to help expand the company’s services.
The critical success factors in this position are:
• Maintaining a safe work environment to protect all workers and visitors
• Maintaining all equipment & machinery in good working order for profitability of the company
• Service & Maintenance projects managed, to be completed within time and material budgets
• Maintain registration on all trucks and plant for usage on projects when needed - (to prevent hire of trucks and plant)
Qualifications, Competencies, Skills and Experience
• Workshop Management skills
• Industry skills and knowledge and experience relevant to the role
• 3+ years of experience in similar role.
• Sound communications skills: ability to effectively interface with employees at all levels
• Proven ability to work under pressure, multi-tasking, together with the capacity to plan and prioritise workloads in order to meet deadlines
