Accounting Technician Apprentice Trainee

Starting Salary: £26,937 per annum increasing with service up to £32,247 per annum

We are proud to be working with Hertfordshire Constabulary who are offering an exciting opportunity to join their Finance department as an Accounting Technician Apprentice Trainee and study towards a qualification with the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT).

What will you be doing?

The Finance department forms a critical function in the organisation to ensure that funding is best utilised to provide the best quality policing service to the people of Hertfordshire.

The Constabulary will offer successful candidates a wide range of experiences through a variety of placements across the finance function from budget setting to producing the statement of accounts.

Successful applicants will be funded to achieve a Level 3 AAT qualification (with the option to extend to Level 4) through Apprenticeship Levy funding which includes 20% off the job training. In addition, applicants will be required to study in their own time in order to pass exams and progress through the qualification.

What do you need?

Successful candidates will have or be predicted to attain at least GCSEs graded 4-9/A-C (or equivalent) including Maths and English, have a passion for Public Sector finance and the drive to be a part of an evolving Finance department fit for the future of Policing. Shortlisted candidates will be required to pass a verbal and numeracy reasoning test prior to being invited to demonstrate that they meet the essential entry requirements through a presentation and interview.

We are looking for a Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician to join the expanding pharmacy team at Liverpool Women's NHS Foundation Trust. Together with full hospital training, the post holder will study part time day release in a virtual classroom setting for a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians . Progression to year 2 is dependent on successful completion of the 1styear .

Please note:
• You must be able to take up post on 1st Sept 2024
• Successful candidates will be attending a virtual classroom one day each week during term-time . You will NOT be expected to travel.
• There is an expectation of home study to supplement the allocated study time in the workplace.

Minimum education requirements: 4 GCSEs (grade C or above or equivalent) including Maths, English and either Dual Science Award or Chemistry plus another science subject. Certificates must be produced during the interview process.

Salary: This post attracts a salary under Annex 21 of Agenda for Change of 70% of band 4 of the first year rising to 75% in the second year.

1. To undertake a 2 year training course for student pharmacy technicians.
1. To undertake, under supervision work based assessment in accordance with the course.
1. To participate in all aspects of pharmaceutical work relevant to training in accordance with the safe systems of work and procedure prevailing within the department at the time.
1. To use the pharmacy computer system in accordance with the level of training.
