As our Maintenance Assistant, you’ll be the safe pair of hands we rely on to maintain, repair and improve our home. You’ll use your problem-solving skills to carry out maintenance requests, and you’ll be able to offer advice on preventative maintenance measures and improvements. You’ll be responsible for PAT testing electrical equipment, and ensuring all maintenance records are accurate and up to date.

It goes without saying that you’ll do all of this within health & safety guidelines to reduce risks. You’ll also complete work in a timely manner to minimise any inconvenience to residents.

You must be able to travel to Signature at Caversham RG4 6LB and Signature at Ascot SL5 7LD as you\\'ll be supporting both homes.

We are looking for a Casual Site Facilities Officer to join our busy Estates team at our Luton Campus. The successful candidate will be reliable, positive and self-motivated.
The College Estates team are responsible for the delivery of services that ensure the physical environments provided to employees, students and visitors support the provision of an outstanding learning experience.
You will be a proactive person who adopts a flexible, team approach to ensure our campuses are safe, secure and welcoming. The role varies on a daily basis so you will need to be prepared to get stuck into a range of tasks. You will be helping to setup rooms for classes/exams, moving furniture, maintaining accurate record keeping on IT systems, monitoring building management systems and completing routine building maintenance.
As one of the first points of contact for external visitors and customers your communications skills will need to be of the highest order.
You will be confident in dealing with enquiries from external partners and internal colleagues with the same high level of customer service. The successful candidate will have experience in customer services and supporting buildings/facilities. Experience of working with young adults and/or within the Further Education sector would be advantageous.
You will be working 37 hours per week with the opportunity for overtime. There will be an expectation to work evenings and weekends on a shift and rota basis. This position is based at our Barnfield Campus in Luton.

About The Role
You'll be responsible for co-ordinating the maintenance and repair of buildings and services, plant machinery and equipment at a key client site.

You will be working Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00, 37.5 hours per week, on a permanent, full-time basis.

You will:

• Provide hands-on support for plumbing, electrical and decoration services
• Be responsible for controlling the site's BMS and compliance systems, while delivering the energy saving plan
• Be responsible for risk management, issuing work permits, risk assessing and managing the internal compliance systems
• Be an ambassador for the customer; dealing professionally with complaints and queries

To succeed in this role you will need:

• Experience in a similar role role
• Knowledge of plumbing desirable
• Strong technical skills

We are seeking a new member to join our Parks & Amenities Team as an Assistant Grounds Maintenance Client Officer. Reporting to the Grounds Maintenance Client Officer, the role will involve ensuring the oversight and continuous improvement of the parks and open spaces portfolio within Hertsmere.

Duties will include assisting with inspections of maintenance issues, administrating and investigating complaints and enquiries, following up fault reporting to ensure issues are dealt with, and ensuring that improvement works are carried out.

The ideal candidate will have 5 GCSE’s, have relevant admin experience and excellent customer service and communication skills. We are looking for a self motivated and enthusiastic colleague who works well in a team as well as independently. A driving licence and access to a vehicle are also essential requirements for this opportunity.

The post is offered on a full time, permanent basis (36 hours per week).
