We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, forward thinking, and enthusiastic individual to join the Tendring District Council Development & Building Team as the Senior Building & Maintenance Surveyor. The team are responsible for the maintenance and improvement of our Council owned housing stock, including garages, sheltered schemes and communal areas.

This is a great opportunity to work across a range of projects including the preparation, supervision, and administration of annual and other maintenance contracts. It involves monitoring performance of contractors, liaising with stakeholders and offering a mentoring role to the wider team. This role will suit someone who is driven, self-motivated and has a sound knowledge in building and construction.

Ward-based Clinical Pharmacy Services Works as part of the ward-based clinical pharmacy team to provide near-patient services, for example medicines reconciliation, ordering of medication for in-patient use, processing and final accuracy checking of discharge prescriptions and discharge counselling. Maintains a safe working environment within the department and good internal and external communications with nursing staff and other hospital departments, referring any difficulties to be a pharmacist or senior member of staff. Participates in the topping-up service for drug distribution in the hospital and other off-site locations when required, updating records as necessary. We are now seeking a Senior Facilities Officer to assist the Facilities Management Team to maintain an attractive, safe, clean, and welcoming College as well as a calm purposeful learning environment.
You’ll be the single point of contact for all requests for repairs, faults, and other maintenance requests from staff, ensuring that all faults are logged on the College helpdesk system. Along with the site services team you will assist in providing first line response to repairs requests covering non-plant equipment, fabric, plumbing, carpentry, decorative repairs, porterage duties and maintain key inventories and stock. You’ll be undertaking weekly inspections of the roofs, gutters, basements and the fabric maintenance of the building and to report defects to the Facilities Manager.
We’d like you to be experienced in working with and overseeing contractors and be able to work under pressure to strict deadlines. You’ll have working knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and procedures and be able to identify and implement improvements in existing procedures and systems.
We’re looking for someone who has experience within the facilities industry and can work alongside and deputise for the Facilities Manager as and when required.

In this role you will support all schools across the Staffordshire region. As part of the ICT/Technology support team, you will predominantly be based at the head office and travel between other school sites to support when required and to deliver upgrades and projects as they arise.
Duties and responsibilities

• Provide onsite support at schools when needed where additional capacity is needed, such as supporting project work and to cover the absence of on-site staff.
• Effective use of the IT Helpdesk to assist end users, prioritise and manage workload, and record activity.
