What will you be doing?
- The Maintenance Manager will oversee the maintenance to ensure the smooth running of the plant.
- Preparing the annual preventative maintenance program for all the site equipment & machinery.
- Ensuring suitable contractors are used and organise the raising of appropriate purchase orders for external work and control the inter-company work orders.
- Ensuring effective contractor control by utilising permit to work system and site Inductions.
- Organising the correct contractors to carry out planned and reactive maintenance to maximise the availability of plant and equipment.
- Ensuring breakdowns are dealt with effectively, as is reasonably practicable.
- Managing the site fitter including work allocation, training and day to day supervision.
- Updating and management of site operating procedures and risk assessment files.
- Organising the routine inspections and services on plant and equipment within manufacturers guidelines and the correct contractors accordingly.
- Organising and controlling plant modifications inclusive of commissioning of any new plant and machinery, ensuring that the correct files are up to date.
- Carrying out incident and accident investigations for the site.
- Working with the operations manager to ensure the site remains compliant to all legal requirements.
- Keeping the VMR (Veolia minimum requirements) operating procedures up to date for the site operations.
What we're looking for;
- Excellent organisation skills.
- Good understanding of current HSE regulations.
- Ability to work to set deadlines.
- Experience of process safety operations.
- Computer literate.
- NEBOSH Certificate in Health and Safety or equivalent.
