We are looking for an Assistant Maintenance Manager who will support to motivate, manage and oversee the entire maintenance operation, including the building, grounds, utilities, equipment. We now have an exciting opportunity for a talented Assistant Maintenance Manager to join our hotel team.
What are a looking for:
- Someone who will always retain the hotel and its fabric in excellent condition, ensuring the facilities, plant areas, operations and amenities are in full working order.
- A competent ‘hands on' person who will ensure all hotel services, systems, fixtures and fittings are maintained in perfect working condition and will assure all defects are corrected promptly.
- A proactive approach towards maintaining adequate levels of materials and spares to allow immediate rectification of faults and ongoing provision for the Planned Preventative Maintenance programmes.
- Experience as an Assistant Maintenance Manager in a hotel is essential
- Experience team leader with sound motivation and training skills
- Have flexible approach and able to adapt to new situation
Duties & Responsibilties:
- Fully computer & internet literate with experience in the use of Window (all versions), Excel, Outlook, Word (all versions), PowerPoint, Publisher etc
- Good all-round General Building skill to a very high standard (including General Maintenance and Repairs, Plumbing and Electrics
- Has a very can-do attitude to all aspects of work
- Ensure the hotel is kept in a first-class state of repair
- Maintain, check and carry out tests on all plant machinery and manage servicing, breakdowns etc
- Ensure the smooth running of the whole department.
- Acting manager when chief engineer is absent.
- Over seeing weekly fire and sprinkler tests & fire risk assessments
- fully involved in Health & safety audits, risk assessments and planning
- Stock Control and ordering including raising jobs/purchase orders and logging on central system for accounting purposes
- On call duties for the department and assisting in any emergency situations
- Budgeting & Targets
- Liaising with contractors, obtaining new contracts & sourcing suppliers for stock/materials required
- Payroll management
