Patient Care To work under the supervision of the physiotherapists within your team. To be able to prioritise and time manage your own caseload. To undertake skilled support work to aid the rehabilitation patients. The role of the Art and Design Technician is a key role in the department with the maintenance of the teaching areas this role is vital to learner success.

The successful candidate will work flexibly across the campuses to prepare and maintain equipment and resources for classes and teachers.

The successful candidate will oversee the safe storage of all resources as well as contributing to the achievement of learners.

The successful candidate will be responsible for improving the quality of customer services within the department.

The successful candidate will provide advice on technical issues and be responsible for practical demonstrations to small groups of students in the groups.

The successful candidate will work flexibly in the absence of staff with sickness and support with cover teaching.

Those appointed will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

The successful candidate will ensure a safe and well maintained working environment by regularly updating Risk and COSHH assessments.

As a supporting staff member for vocational education, you will play a vital role in providing assistance and guidance to both staff and learners. Your responsibilities will include assisting lecturers with lesson preparations, maintaining the electrical and the workshop/classroom/studio, and supporting learners of various levels.

Your contribution will be instrumental in ensuring a smooth learning journey for both educators and learners. By providing excellent assistance and guidance, you will help learners acquire the necessary skills for further study, employment, or apprenticeships. You will also play a crucial part in implementing health and safety measures, ensuring compliance, and adhering to college policies.
Skills and Experience
To excel in this role, the ideal candidate will possess a L3 electrical qualification or have a minimum of 5 years of industrial experience. Your interpersonal and communication skills will be exceptional, allowing you to effectively motivate and inspire others. Your organizational skills and IT knowledge will further enhance your performance in supporting the team.
