Our client is a trusted partner of the UK Ministry of Defence and are seeking a Live Build Manufacturing Technician who has completed a full apprenticeship. The role is to support their prestigious Defence client at the Stevenage site. The Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for ensuring product certification and should have a versatile skill set for performing various tasks using appropriate equipment, tools, gauges, and measuring instruments. They will be responsible for producing, repairing, and modifying company products while adhering to building standards and specifications.
As a Live Build Manufacturing Technician, your primary responsibilities include manufacturing, testing, and inspection tasks. To meet project objectives, you will follow product certification procedures, assigned budgets, and timescales. This is an excellent opportunity for contract extension or permanent employment.
Get up to £1,600 a month for accommodation if you do not live within 30 miles from Henlow. Full apprenticeship required - this project is a UK eyes only and requires all employees to achieve the appropriate clearance relevant to the role.
What we're looking for:
- Approved Apprenticeship/Apprenticeship Framework/Modern Apprenticeship
- Vocational G or H Units with Further Education, City & Guilds Parts 1, 2 & 3
- or Vocational TR23 Units with Further Education, ONC or City & Guilds Parts 1, 2 & 3
- or Vocational NVQ3 with Further Education, BTEC ONC/HNC
- Experience in a Manufacturing / Craftsman position.
- ESD training.
- Live Build training (will be provided).
What you'll get to do as a Live Build Manufacturing Technician:
- Certify the product in line with the product certification procedure and possess product certification and approval via regular audits.
- Maintain a versatile skill base to apply these skills across a range of tasks.
- Be fully conversant with all equipment, tools and measuring instruments associated with the manufacturing cycle.
- Ensure manufacturing build, inspection, and test times are met where relevant and maintain the highest level, workmanship standards and product quality.
- Provide compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing
- Capable of certifying the product and possessing a versatile skill base
- Ability to apply the essential skills across a range of tasks utilising equipment and tools, gauges and measuring instruments associated with the production, repair, and modification of company products

This role is based at their headquarters near Stevenage, which plays a key part in missile operations. The site also offers excellent transportation links. Training and development are provided to all employees. Plus, an accommodation expense of up to £400 per week (must live over 30 miles per way; not for food purposes).
