• The incumbent will conduct and participate in long-term monitoring of vegetation resources within the network parks.
• The incumbent will be the field crew lead for all vegetation monitoring protocols (Integrated Uplands, Spring Vegetation, Fov-Needle Pine, and Aspen).
• Responsibilities will include planning and leading vegetation monitoring data collection efforts, as well as collecting vegetation monitoring data, ensuring the consistent collection of data by all crew members.
• Ensuring the safety of crew members, summarizing data for a variety of vegetation monitoring metrics, and potentially reporting or presenting the findings to a wide variety of audiences ranging from scientific peers to the general public.
• Additional responsibilities include organizing the logistics, scheduling, and planning for field implementation of the vegetation resource monitoring program.
• The incumbent will work with other field technicians and ensure that field work follows approved safety plans and data quality assurance and quality control procedures.

• Performs a wide range of complex Physical Therapy Assistant duties requiring an advanced practical knowledge of physical therapy, evidence-based medicine and data collection.
• Under the direction of the Physical Therapist plans, coordinates, and administers diverse physical therapy programs.
• Instructs and reviews all home program precautions and contraindications with patients and family members on use and application of physical modalities for home environment.
• Ensures treatment plan is designed to maximize results in promotion of healing and pain relief while ultimately improving the patient’s functional independence.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to make recommendations for the patient’s rehabilitation and reintegration needs.

• Knowledge of general outpatient clinical policies and procedures in a healthcare environment;
• Ability to obtain, document and record demographic and medical information from patients in order to develop an accurate medical record;
• Ability to use basic ophthalmic equipment;
• Knowledge of basic disinfection of non-critical reusable medical equipment.
• Ability to use basic ophthalmic diagnostic equipment to perform preliminary ocular testing;

Major duties include but are not limited to:

• The incumbent assists the direct Supervisor and DRRTP Deputy Chief with oversight of RRTP 24/7 front-line staff;
• Assists with the administration of policies, procedures and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory organizations;
• Provides administrative and technical training to a team of up to 10 or more rehabilitation technicians who use patient-centered, holistic approaches in their delivery of 24n front-line care to 255 domiciliary inpatient Veterans;
• Coaches the front-line team and makes decisions in the absence of an RT Supervisor, solves day to-day unique operational and personnel problems;
• Observes individual Rehabilitation Technicians and team performance using various approaches such as quality reviews and in-person observations and reports back to direct supervisors any need for additional training;
• Provides new employee orientation to accelerate integration and productivity;
• Provides training to Rehabilitation Technicians on systems, appropriate supervision, intervention and counseling techniques, new initiatives, ethics, privacy, etc.;
• Assists in performance improvement plans or takes additional measures to address performance concerns when assigned by the RT Supervisor;
• Maintains program and administrative reference materials, project files, and relevant background documents and makes available policies, procedures, and written instructions;
• Participates in the service, training, consultative and other professional activities of DRRTP services treatment program and functions as a fully vested member of a multidisciplinary team;
• Serves as a recovery agent by providing and advocating for effective wellness and holistic recovery-based services that aid Veterans in daily living;
• Assists Veterans to articulate personal goals for recovery through the use of one-to­one and group sessions;
• Collaborates with Veterans to develop and implement a personal wellness and recovery plan;
• Responds to emergencies and has thorough knowledge of Domiciliary and SORCC operations to assume temporary control of situations and areas;
• Participates in the Quality Improvement program in Mental Health and Behavioral Sciences Service; and
• Other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The purpose of this position is to perform limited diagnosis, routine repairs, and maintenance on combat, tactical, commercial, and special purpose vehicles and equipment. May assist higher graded mechanics in the performance of maintenance duties.

• Performs limited diagnosis, routine repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty mobile equipment, combat, tactical and automotive vehicles.
• Performs limited diagnoses to determine the cause of mechanical failures by means of visual and auditory checks and/or uses basic test equipment such as compression testers, voltmeters, ohmmeters and pressure gauges.
• Removes, replaces, adjusts, cleans and installs parts and components such as wheel seals, switches, sensors, fuel pumps, water pumps, power steering pumps, brakes, filters, radiators, bearings, springs, shock absorbers, wheel cylinders, starter motors, mufflers, battery cables, and other items of similar complexity.
• Independently performs routine repairs and maintenance functions in remote locations that can be accomplished by removing, cleaning, reinstalling, or replacing defective parts of components and systems using standard parts.
• Conducts limited readiness and repair inspections on vehicles and associated equipment supported by the activity.
• May perform routine maintenance and limited repairs on basic communication equipment such as radios, field telephones, amplifiers, switchboards, recorders, intercoms by removing and replacing components and elements.
• In conjunction with or in the absence of the Tools and Parts Attendant, may maintain supply documentation, and the receipt, store, issue, and inventory of tools and parts used in the trades operation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
