The Amphibious Technicians play a vital role in maintaining the Amphibious Life Support Equipment (ALSE) at Hamworthy Barracks, and associated equipment required for both operational and training tasks when operating in an amphibious environment.

Consistently ensure that all operational ALSE has met its 3, 6, 12 monthly servicing schedules within the 5yr cycle. Equipment must be available in a fully serviced condition and comply with all relevant regulations and servicing criteria.

Agree to conduct refresher training, as controlled by the lead technician in a particular system, weekly.

Position: Fabric Maintenance Engineer (Static)
Location: Bournemouth
Salary: Up to £33,000 per annum
Hours: 14:00 - 22:00, Monday to Friday
Holiday: 25 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform regular maintenance and repairs on fabric elements within the facility.
• Conduct routine inspections and identify areas needing attention.
• Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to ensure the facility remains in top condition.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience as a Fabric Maintenance Engineer or similar role.
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of building maintenance.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to work.
