GSK Apprenticeships are full-time entry level opportunities that offer ITE graduates the opportunity to begin their career while studying towards a Work-Study Diploma in Chemical Process Technology fully funded by GSK.
Prior Education requirements: Nitec in Chemical Process Technology (GPA>2.0) OR Higher NITEC in Chemical Technology OR Higher NITEC in Biotechnology, Fresh ITE graduates within 5 years of graduation or ORD.
Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English
Other requirements:
- If offered a position the candidate must be willing to enroll, and meet entry requirements, with the partnering educational institution, in the preferred related instruction course
- Must be able to commute daily to the GSK manufacturing facility and to the education institution when required for classes

We are looking for highly motivated ITE graduates with an interest in science and engineering who are looking to kickstart their career in the pharmaceutical industry. The apprenticeship programme allows you to develop hands-on technical skills while continuing your education.
Working at our pharmaceutical manufacturing site, you will help to ensure we have the latest, safe, efficient, and reliable processes and equipment to deliver life-saving medicines and vaccines to people in 90 % of the world’s countries. This role will enable you to develop your skills in an industry that’s making radical changes to the way it develops and manufactures products.

This entry-level development opportunity offers you the chance to study towards nationally recognized qualifications while gaining hands-on, paid on-the-job training. Our apprentices will take up studies towards a Work-Study Diploma in Chemical Process Technology while working at a GSK Pharmaceutical Manufacturing facility in Singapore.
You will spend time working in our manufacturing facility learning how to operate and maintain the different equipment and utility systems that support our pharmaceutical production from our in-house industry experts . You will learn safety and risk management to ensure all equipment is operated safely and efficiently.  Over the 30 months of the apprenticeship, you will have a personal training programme to help you develop and progress.
What will you do?
As a process technician apprentice, you may get involved in the following activities:
- Learning how to operate equipment in the manufacture and packaging of our pharmaceutical products
- Supporting the operation of solvent recovery and effluent treatment processes that support manufacturing processes
- Supporting routine preventive maintenance activities
- Get involved in project activities
- First touch engineering - root cause analysis and solving breakdowns
- Data collection, analysis and trending to identify improvement opportunities and implementation of change
- Assisting in new product and equipment introductions
- Ensuring quality, safety and accuracy in all that we do
