Undertake a patient facing and patient supporting role to ensure effective medicines use, through shared decision-making conversations with patients. Carry out medicines optimisation tasks including effective medicine administration (e.g. checking inhaler technique), supporting medication reviews, processing prescription queries and medicines reconciliation. Support the implementation of national prescribing policies and guidance within GP practices, care homes and other primary care settings. This will be achieved through undertaking clinical audits (e.g. use of antibiotics). Supporting quality improvement measures and contributing to the Quality and Outcomes Framework and locally commissioned enhanced services. Supervise practice reception teams in sorting and streaming general prescription requests, so as to allow GPs and Clinical Pharmacists to review the more clinically complex requests. Provide training and support on the legal, safe and secure handling of medicines, including the implementation of the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) to the administration team. Perform medicines improvement work to maximise safe, cost-effective best practice in prescribing under the supervision of the GP or Clinical Pharmacist. Liaise with clinicians and administrative staff to resolve medicine-related queries. Support the Clinical Pharmacists in Structured Medication Reviews (e.g. organise necessary monitoring tests before SMR). Support medicine reconciliation of patients whose care is transferred back into primary care in a timely and effective manner liaising with patients and other providers to ensure patients receive appropriate medication post discharge. Assist Clinical Pharmacists with any searches, data collection and medicine safety tasks. Implement changes to medication that result from CAS/MHRA alerts, product withdrawal and other local/national guidance. Work collaboratively with the Practice team. Develop relationships and work closely with community, hospital and MMT pharmacy colleagues and the wider health system. Participate in practice meetings, patient participation groups and other local meetings to improve engagement with the role of pharmacy technician.

Job Summary

• Supporting the Senior Management Team in the safe operation and maintenance of all plant, equipment and installations within the hospital estate, establishing efficient and effective compliance review procedures
• Primarily responsible for the electrical services operational equipment, decontamination, mechanical and building infrastructure. Control of contractors including permits to work on specialist and critical systems within the PFI hospitals as defined but not limited to those set out in HTM00 to HTM08 and any associated statutory and mandatory legislation

What you’ll do

• Fully competent (AP/CP Appointed) in the fault diagnosis, maintenance, repair assets to include but not limited to Mechanical systems such as LTHW Heating Systems, CHW Systems, Steam distribution systems, Hot Water Calorifiers, Refrigeration, Air Handling Units / Ventilation Systems, Compressed air and Medical Gas Systems
• Carry out Planned Maintenance of Mechanical Devices in line with current regulations and manufacturers recommendations
• Comparison and utilisation of technical documents as issued by the Department of Health
• Interpretation of technical terminology used in the Mechanical infrastructure
• The safe operation and maintenance of all plant and equipment within PFI Hospital site. Carrying out a range of repairs and new works to a high standard. Working on own initiative when applicable or as part of a team

• Completion of C+G/Btec or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, recognised Mechanical apprenticeship, time served

SRG is working with a leading soft drinks manufacturer based in Herefordshire who are now looking for a QA Lab Technician to join the team. The role will be a hands-on role where you will be operating machines and instruments, doings sensory analysis on mixes and looking at the microbiology and testing of finished products. Recent Chemistry graduates will be considered and are encouraged to apply, this role would suit candidates with prior industrial experience within the beverage industry.
Working Hours: Rotating shift pattern 6am-6pm for 4 weeks followed by 6pm-6am for 2 weeks - Full UK driving licence and car needed
Role / Description

• Verifying and monitoring all quality aspects
• Use HPLC to test batches, raw materials and lines
• Testing the microbiology of products to ensure they meet traceability standards
• Quality checks and completion of documents and internal audits
• Monitoring production activities to ensure compliance to customer specifications
• Investigating and reporting on customer complaints

Requirements

• Good work ethic, hands-on approach and a willingness to learn
• UK driving licence and car
• Experience in HPLC and method development is advantageous
